5400 is feeble for a region. Once again, we cruised all the way round last night and found not a single target. Not one.
updated stats to the 3rd of Jan
I think keeping the site isk the same and changing the respawn time to 30 mins should bring back the main incentive for fleets to be around in the region and it would continue to prop up small/solo content in the region once more, cutting the isk and removing the respawn time would have the same effect on the MER but the carrot to contest sites would no longer be there
It’s been said on this thread many times over, but the actual issue here was the meta was shifting to low cost Ishtar’s running these sites with virtually no risk, which tilted the risk/reward ratio for Pochven to an unreasonable place. Make it so only battleships or at least expensive T3’s can reasonably run the sites, and the risk factor goes way up which justifies the payout levels that were in place prior to the patch.
If that isn’t enough, a % reduction in payouts could be okay too, i think anything up to a 30% reduction there would end up leaving a reasonably healthy ecosystem.
What if Abyssal filaments could only be used from within Pochven?
This would make doing them, a guaranteed death on exit. The content would need to be reworked against Pochven backdrop. But we know it won’t happen as current CCP dev generation can’t handle emergent gameplay and likes their micromanaged instances. And farmers do as well.
They could make the anomaly (or whatever they call the exit point) unscannable if it were in Pochven.
Well, then it’s safer than highsec ever was …the whole concept of instances plus bandaid interaction option doesn’t match. Pochven would live in a natural way if all materials and trig resources are exclusively obtained from this space.
CCP may even keep the precious instances filled with red loot if filaments can only be obtained in Pochven.
I didn’t know they were opened to everybody. Last time my -2.7 to trigs was in there I couldn’t do anythg. Interesting.
Oh the tears and whining.
Or, abyssal sites could have exits only in Pochven. Or a chance of exiting in Pochvenhell. Fun.
50/50 chance sounds about right to me.
Regardless, there are other ways to adjust the “turbokrabbing” than a site cooldown. And pretty much any other way is superior to the one presented.
I guess that’s not surprising anymore, though. lol
Well said.
How is it possible for CCP to be so utterly incompetent. The sheer lack of creativity and effort is genuinely as astounding as it is confounding.
Why do you think it can’t or shouldn’t be done?
Like the meta show btw, props
Oh, and how long will it take a new player to get trig standing now? It has been months with the old respawn, it will be YEARS to get clearance to the homesystems, big advantage for seasoned multiboxers that already have those standings… idk if that was a good change there.
It’s not even a change, you just killed the place completely for most players.
Maybe the ISK/h now is a bit more fair for people that haven’t had alliance carried
premium access to Pochven veteran fleets like PH/FRT and the other major Pochven farmers.
Trying to tell us you hadn’t seen the effects to the economy earlier is quite outrageous anyway, lol!
Some alliances will miss the taxes badly now but at least we aren’t PvE-perma-trappend in that dark depressing place any longer…
To get basic access? A few minutes shooting a single drone.
For home systems, just do it the classic way as we first movers did it, sniping drifters.
it takes people 15min to grind standings now
For those who are interested but may not have caught it the patch notes, on January 26th the timer for Observatory Flashpoints has been reduced from 90 minutes to 35 minutes. Updated the OP to reflect this.
People may have missed it because it is not written in the patch notes, the notes still say 35min…
Don’t give us hope sir…
And how much were the rewards lowered? From 90 to 15 min is like going from a major deterrent to a minor inconvenience… which would be basically as bad as the original status you wanted to fix with the 90 minutes?
