That’s right, it is our fault people get emotional and quit a game over a PvP defeat.

In the real world they call it “Sore Loser”.

Maybe you can better call it “you are the minority and your hobby is simply not wanted by the majority in high so you have to live it just in low and 0.0 where it belongs”…

That would be more reasonable…

Because everyone in high agrees with you.

Don’t be naïve.

Not everyone has to and is agreeing to me…just the majority of all high players…that has to be enough…

I hate to break your bubble but high is filled with PvPers using markets, grinding funds on alts and hunting care bears.

They are already waiting for 15 years without PA, now that they found new hope they will surely endure another decade.

Endless fodder :skull_and_crossbones:

IN YOUR DREAMS…90% of all high players simply wanted to be left alone…

99% of all highsec players are fine with the competitive nature and the game rules as they are.

My made up number is higher than your made up number, so I win.

All players want things, be it ships, isk, other goals. Just because you want it doesn’t mean the game should cater for it. This being a pvp sandbox means that if you WANT something you had better put in the effort for it. HS included.

But being the carebear that you are, and like all carebears can’t use reasoned logic like any other SJW, you’ll never accept or admit to it.

Posting in a self-entitlement thread.

Some things will no doubt change, but I very much doubt hisec will ever become the safe zone that so many desire, because that has massive repercussions throughout the whole game.

PA are not the carebear messiah, Eve has a relatively successful formula for a niche game, one that has outlived many more mainstream and somewhat successful MMO’s. I don’t think they payed eleventybillion for CCP to then turn Eve into something it’s not, besides which Eve’s reputation is well established and will be difficult to overcome.

We may eventually get those social corps that CCP have long pondered upon, corplike social activities with none of the player corp benefits but still wardec free, and not so much of a pig to coordinate through NPC corp SIG’s as is done currently.

I see your confusion. Eve is not a “game”, it’s more like “digital anarchy”.

Oh boy this one post is ripe for trolls to come in and party poop.
That being said I agree in theory but I also have to say your judgement is off, eve has been the same for years, hundreds or thousands have come through without your difficulties so I would ask that you examine your approach.

The biggest advise I can give you:

  1. Don’t trust anybody they are out to get you.

  2. Give it time, don’t rush the isk train it will get there as a new player with low skill do not go into the lower secs stay in high while you learn.

  3. Have a backup plan, that plan is based upon you.

  4. Never undock what you cannot afford to lose.

It will be interesting to see how much of a new-player “bottleneck” actually existed in this game, you know, when its all said an done.

I have my own ideas but I really do wonder how much others internally weigh their desire to protect their favorite play styles versus the overall health of the game. Sometimes they are diametrically opposed.

This game exists for over 15 years and is still going strong. There is only a hand full of games in the whole world that could even say that. So CCP is clearly doing something right and the game is working and can retain players in order to finance the development of the game as well as various failed side projects.

So please, all you carebears, stop claiming you are doing this for the “new player” when it is just obvious to everyone that you are pushing to just make your gameplay easier without regard for the rest of the game. Those people are short sighted fools.

heh, all you need to do is look at Eve Offline status monitor with even a basic understanding of trend analysis in the context of the changes to this game in order to account for “longevity” of it, and the concern.

Head/sand, comes to mind.

Indeed, look at the trend in conjunction with nerfs to pvp.

Just another carebear that doesn’t know his arse from his elbow.

Or look at the trend relative to the overall trend of MMO and see the nerfs to PvP are when we start pulling ahead of the general trend rather than simply riding the mmo popularity wave…

That said. PvP should change. It could provide a much gentler intro for newbies without being a nerf but a sideways shift.
Things like damage caps, industrial ships having real fitting and some weapons, longer gank times to the tune of several minutes. these things provide a more enjoyable experience as they give you enough time to understand what is happening and learn from it, and feel you could fight back.
A lot of mmos have learnt about ttk and put fairly hard minimum ttk in place. You dont want them too long or it gets boring but too short and its equally boring for whoever gets shot at.

I’ve been a CareBear forever, but, I have reached a point of no return, I have everything I desire in terms of ships and mods, I have over produced so much I had to make a holdings Corp, next step going to finally live in low sec amongst the garb… I mean the non CareBears of the eve verse, I thought of null but don’t want to be fodder or some pawn, I don’t care for WH because of the logistics but trying to make a life in low has been challenging but entertaining as I have been leaving ships scattered all over in low secs and amuse myself watching cloaked people attacking shells, however I will be going after carriers and fax builds as a goal.
