PSA: Next expansion will turn low sec into null and high sec into low sec

If they do, it is because they choose not to contest it and change the outcome. Just like with Niarja, it’s up to the players on what happens.

In my opinion peaceful people are more likely to uninstall the game than contest pirates and what not. Its also why i feel confident predicting that pirates are going to dominate these mechanics. But lets see.

I’ve been saying the same thing for years, and guess what?

You get these exact same boring answers every single time so you’re wasting your breath/keyboard strokes, whatever.

Players like these got indoctrinated very early on when they first started playing, they are now way beyond redemption and incapable of accepting that others can play how they want without following a doctrine imposed on them by others.

It doesn’t matter where I personally play, hs/ls/ns/wh I’m still going to be be ratting, mining, mission running etc. Exactly the same as players in the Industrial sections of the massive ns alliances.

I now play in HS, so what? I do what I enjoy doing just the same as everyone else logging on.

If the system I’m presently using as my home gets involved in this garbage someone at CCP thought of in the bar then I simply won’t bother undocking, I’ll just put some BP’s in to cook.

I wonder though how many will do the same, let CCP take away log ins of less than 15 minutes and then look at the numbers. In fact do it now, why not?

Why did CCP remove all of my posts? Afraid of a “fair discussion”?

Well it is time to create my own Wesfahrn alt to spice up the forums.

the fair amount of 0.0 types in the area where I signed up in wildllands says…wait to see how that plays out.

I kind of messed up and dropped corp after sign up on the alt which forces a fw resign too. so…I have that 24 hour timer to rejoin. A few years away…some things forgotten it seems.

I did remember to buffer passive resist travel fit. Running into a smart bomb mach who tagged me for 25 to 50% shield had me go at least I remembered that bit.

Will there be any chance to turn some lowsec system into Highsec?

Good one!

Not quite

Insurgencies are brand new gameplay that take part in Factional Warfare systems, however, it is possible for them to spread to include additional solar systems which are above 0.0 security and below 0.8 security.

Anything .8 and above won’t be touched so its .7 and below only which narrows the scope a fair bit, low going to null makes no real difference as nobody cares about low sec anyway lol

And the additional systems will end up being returned to normal once the insurgency ends according to the patch notes anyway, so it won’t be permanent

Will probably be the same way they notified of trig systems, a popup when trying to jump or undock i would imagine

So, can anybody actually confirm is this true or not?
Can a system security status change now?

would it be possible to brin capitals in if highsec is corrupted?

Its only been a day. they started out with small zarzakh games that I gleaned from some discords.

Some are still settling in with enlistment. players may have fixed their standing…but corps also break the enlistment. So lots of people are on hold playing drop corp, enlist, recorp games. Last I checked local I was in shot up with lots of people like me in generic RF NPC corp (we await eve timers for a few things).

I’d say it be a week or 2 till this starts seeing what this stuff can do really.

Sure but you have to buy a Capital Ship Highsec Entry Permit for $$$ from CCP every time you want to enter. :upside_down_face:

:psyccp:

Yes I’m giving them ideas. :stuck_out_tongue: :smiling_imp:

Less than 24 hours till the games begin

Archavoinet seems to be the only corruptable high sec system for now and at the time of writing according to the in game map it has had 13 jumps in the last hour. Fly safe.

I’m not for it or against it, but I predict that if this impacts high sec mission runners and miners enough, they will do what they do when war-decced or during an incursion.

They will log off and wait for it to be over. They won’t even move next door.

CCP will see the logoffs, the same way they did for some other things they have tried which were attempts to make the game less safe and more interesting, such as blacking out local in null, and then they will retreat and do a patch to make sure that the corruption thing isn’t making carebears log off.

I know people wish that high sec people would just fleet up and fight. They wish that the botting behavior in high sec would be wiped out from the game completely.

But a lot of people are in high sec specifically because they enjoy the space game atmosphere and the complicated mechanics and fantasy of it all, but they don’t have time to participate in a corp properly. Some of them are fantasizing about being in a sci-fi world like it is a single player game, and when they get on comms with a corp telling stupid sex jokes or saying racist things, they lose their immersion and it ruins the game from their perspective.

Those people will just log off. They won’t ever join a corp or start answering a call to arms. These are people who have 15 mins to a couple of hours max every few days to play.

It’s not most of the toons in high sec, but you won’t see either the bots or the high sec people with no time seeking immersion joining in any FW or PVP. They will just disappear and CCP will have to look at P&L and make new choices.

I once tried living in a high sec based corp after having lived in null, just to have friends online while there. As soon as anything happened - we had an incursion - then a war dec - they all logged off and went to play a different game. They were still on comms with each other, but they were asking me how the war dec was going. I spent the incursion doing exploration in null sec and made a fortune. Tried to get them to come with me. “No thanks.” During the war dec, I tried to teach them to fight back and how to make gate and station pings, fit ships properly. Only one of them was up for it. The rest logged off.

Modifying mechanics to try to somehow get these people to jump into the pool and swim properly instead of just sunbathing will never work. They come here to sunbathe. They don’t want to swim. Nothing will lure them in to play that way. It’s just not who they are.

Stop trying to make high sec pvpers happen. It’s not going to happen.

I for one enjoyed the above post.

On topic: It would be ironic if Angel milita start killing each other because too many people joined it

sounds great!

OMG…they finally fixed the forum so I literally don’t see any trace of ‘ignored’ people rather than the old ’ there is 1 hidden reply’ system. Well done CCP.
