Heā€™s whining on another thread as well.

Much :popcorn:to be had in both.

Heā€™s one of those, ā€œI accept everyoneā€™s gameplay, except for those that I personally donā€™t like, and those will be the death of the game. I have proof! See, my crystal ball said so!ā€ Fellas.

Its how the game works actually. we all get paid, even the hi sec pure carebears, because ships go boom! Sometimes its yours, the eve isk gods must have their blood sacrifice lol

Things are sold because someone got popped and needs replacements. Lacking thisā€¦watch all the hi sec site runners see sales drop fast.

Why is no one buying my stuff!?

Answer: they arenā€™t dying after first time buy. Now you have basically wow/other mmoā€™s. I am generally geared up baseline week 1 patch drops off honor points for pvp gear in wrath. The gear never dies even in pvp. and if chosen its play the rng slot machine in raid/dungeon. Boss wipes is just repair costs. No gear loss.

This happens to a certain extent now. I like many know what dscan is even in empire. Its not jsut for out of empire.

Combat probes are bad anywhere in this game. One reason hi sec residents make money is way more players cba to put this mini-window on the hud lol.

I donā€™t care about your opinion.

Comparing the raw number of players on two different servers is hardly a metric to determine the vitality of a game.

The real question is, what are those people doing in that game?

A projected prediction is ā€œproof?ā€

I mean, 2010 really isnā€™t projection, but Iā€™m assuming youā€™re looking at todays dip as if it was 2010.

Funny thing is, itā€™s 13 years past 2010, and EvE is still chugging along.

I went back and made an edit, I clicked accept on accident.

Raid logging. maybe 2 nights. Common as hell both in retail and wrath. I personal have been bg logging. The pvp battlegrounds (bg) pick up on weekends. During the week of lateā€¦its been eve catch up. Iā€™d hit some of the NPSI fleets on weekend but IRL has made that scheduling a pita.

I have no idea what people do in WoW. I donā€™t play it.

Okay, Iā€™m going to disseminate this. I donā€™t think you mean, ā€œhappyā€ but rather, ā€œsatisfied.ā€

Iā€™m happy regardless of EvEā€™s performance. Because I donā€™t allow outside influences to control my happiness index, so to say.

As for satisfied.

I think EvE is an amazing game that has been loosing its way. Taking direction from a coddled risk adverse generation that expects to be pandered to in every aspect.

What made EvE so great, was the looming threat of getting blapped at any moment, regardless of where you were at. Hilmarā€™s initial vision for this game was to be ā€œeveryone vs. everyone.ā€ But itā€™s no longer that.

Endless whining threads about some mean NPC that blew up a freighter in highsec. Threats of being stalked and stabbed in my sleep because I dare to blap some faction warfare farmer in lowsec. Being called all sorts of horrible names, and threats of being run out of the game because I yeeted myself into null with nothing more than a cruiser and I took out a hand full of krabbers safely generating isk in their ishkurs.

The true blight on this game, is trying to keep the perpetually miserable, self entitled ā€œPVE onlyā€ crowd placated and ā€œhappy.ā€

This game rocked when wardecs could be declared on any corp and was independent of structures (donā€™t get me started on those zits pustulating highsec like a bad case of acne).

What makes this game unique is not that itā€™s the ā€œsame as WoWā€ but in fact those aspects that totally separate it from other MMORPGS. Those same aspects that many carebears would say are toxic, because they are hell bent on turning EvE into another ubiquitous WoW clone.

Would honestly be terrible. You ever experience TIDI? Its an absolutely terrible system that is necessary to keep the Cluster functioning when more then 2000 people get near each other at any time. (outside of the Jita Supernode).

Millions of active users would cause that to be the permanent experience, and likely just shred the server architecture entirely. There is a reason why games like WoW, FF14 have Dozens of servers to spread people out.

EVE has one shared server clusterā€¦and if nodes fail, so can it.

Millions of people on EVE at once would be Awful.

Yes. Yes you are, ironic that youā€™re the one telling me that.

Proof required. Or is this another one of your ā€œcomparisonsā€ to extraneous data thatā€™s 10 years past itā€™s prediction mark?

Um no, that many players would make space too crowded for me. Not to mention all the lag and TiDi that would cause.

Except for those peoples whos opinions that u disagree with.

You should be open to listening to other peoples opinions and ideas if you are expecting CCP to do the same with yours instead of being a jerk and shutting them down.

I think that making the game more dynamic will make it more interesting and more enjoyable for gamers. This is a new idea that they are trying and I am looking forward to seeing it implemented first hand.

If you donā€™t want things to become more dangerous then maybe come and make it more secure, using the same mechanics but to suppress instead of corrupt.

Dont you think its a double edged sword?

Afaik in most cases pirates are strong and people usually leave them alone on traditional gate camps and they sit there for hours. In this case pirates will also be dominating the mechanics and people who are into peaceful activities will just be victims. But lets see.

Yep. they paint a rosey picture that ainā€™t soā€¦rosey.

Wrath version made a bigger instance of a battle called Wintergrasp. A whopping 120 on 120 players.

And it can lagā€¦hard. If OCE is the server instance based on that lag monster really goes to town.

Retail side one multiserver guild wrecked wow layers using phasing games via group creation. they choked out phases/layers. With like maybe 60 people.

Tl;drā€¦wow servers canā€™t handle even 40K bum rushing the stage, with layering on the megasevers. why they have several of them.

They also leave out the bit its millions there but itā€™s in instances. Not open world. Iā€™d loosely have raid kind of like incursions. At least for exampleā€™s sake. those arenā€™t instances. If 1000 people worst case show upā€¦its 1000 people. its not 40 separate instances of 25 people per crew.
