No it isnāt. It removes peopleās chance to even have gameplay. Every goddamm open PVP game ever just transforms into a55hole-simulator-deluXe. Because there is no such thing as āsometimes PVPā or āPVP and PVEā. The human nature canāt be cheated.
As soon as there is PVP, the PVE aspect becomes almost irrelevant. PVE-content then is just another tool to be used against another player (pull someone into an NPC-patrol or camp a mission site for example.) And you cannot play a PVE content without moving like youāre on a team deathmatch server.
I backed this game in 2013. I supported the idea and pledged more even when the cries for āscam citizenā where loudest. Yet PVPers have achieved what the doubters and naysayers couldnāt:
I have lost interest.
Does this mean the (EVE) is dying meme becomes part of the ScamCitizen tradition?
Iām pretty bad at checking the Star Citizen Reddit. I missed out on many cool time-limited items (except for my LTI F7A Hornet Mk II Heartseeker), but I saw that post and was going to make a joke about a certain someone, but I saw that they were complaining about having PvP at all. Looks like Iāll have to spend my time in the Foundation Festivel encouraging people to yeet ships.
On a serious note I backed the game because they promised the, āThe option for Freelancer style player-run worlds where modding/experimentation/etc. are all encouragedā and I preferred having a solo sandbox. I even paid $10 for an āEngineering Manual for Moddersā.
