Quantum Cores...the Return of the POS

There is an old saying:
“A fool and his Rorqual are soon parted.”

remember to not trust in null sec nonsense propaganda ms @Xeux
low sec chads > scary wormhole people > null sec do a fleet every day > hs survivors > null sec crabs
thats a fact of life
we are SO MUCH BETHER in pvp
we usually win 2v1 … 3 or 4 of us can face a null sec 11 man fleet and end isk positive
i used to be the second best in 24th crusade , now im the 3 or 4 best , and this is the NPC corp, there is a LOOOOT of amarr corps and i cant check how they are doing ,… prob im just a nice regular soldier and thats all
real pvp is our spécialité

This.

The idea that null sec blocs are going to be able to grab low sec space on their border (beyond the immediate fringe) is a pipedream.

Null sec blocs will have to station a large portion of their veteran pilots to hold the fringe of these systems for low sec mining.

EDIT: Update on the POS compression array test.

I have to anchor a tower first, so I need a few more hours.

I really hope this works because POS’es don’t’ appear on the structure browser or directly on the overview.

Conversation on some compression options in LS: new, existing & bygone …

Subsequently tested POS option on Singularity.

Small towers, as can still be bought on Tranquility (and not just at Jita) deploys in 450 secs.

Tower then needs to be onlined before compression array can be anchored. Onlining takes 450 secs.

And then I got stuck. Launched the array but couldn’t work out how to get it to anchor.

Once you begin to anchor the array, a bunch of arrows will surround it, right click any one of those arrows (again) and click the “anchor here” option.

Tried that. Firstly it said, online tower first. Did that. Then it said, tower is too far from ship. Got up close, and then still couldn’t get “anchor” command to operate. Arrows had also gone by that time. Couldn’t get them back. Possibly just me, but I still fell at the last hurdle, either way.

I got hit with the “7 day new corporation” restriction to deploy a tower. So. lol

Yup. Me too.

EDIT: so, I know you can still deploy, anchor and online towers. I just don’t know definitively about arrays.

Can you still buy sticks or are they off the market now?

Edit:

Sorry just noticed that.

Pretty sure most of the normal parts had NPC buy orders up at mineral value

Pretty sure the reason for that is you can’t anchor them anymore as they no longer perform that function

Yes thats is because they haven’t yet replaced the last functional use of a POS, the bubble as a staging point, so thats literally the only purpose they really serve at present

@Xeux What am I taking care of, exactly? What point is to be added to my platform?

COME AT ME BRO

I went through the last three years of patch notes. There are is only one mention of Starbases and a one mention of the Compression Array.

In 2017, they removed the bonuses from Starbase Arrays, but it does not say they were disabled and no longer could be anchored.

In 2019 they said:
" * Compression Array Blueprints become Mobile Tractor Unit Blueprints"

It does not however say that compression arrays have been disabled and cano longer be anchored.

Since Compression Arrays can no longer be produced, while still be functional for compression (I assume), this would make them the most valuable structures in EvE.

As such, I just bought a few more.

Or you know ask your local low sec pvp war lord for access to compression at their structure or ask cost for blue standing. Low sec rent is cheap.

We need to remove POSs once and for all. All this sounds like an “exploit.”

Well i tested this with an amarr small , onlined the tower, shields went up launched a compression array . Took a few seconds to anchor and a few seconds to put online, chucked in some ore and selected compress… and i got some compressed ore \o/. A couple more seconds to offline and unanchor/scoop and back to station , totally painless to do and POS still have a lot of use.

the reprocessing array was tested and also still works fine.

yep I tested on solo corp alt an hour ago.

I bought 16 compression arrays and 16 gallenete towers in Jita.

Very left now.

I believe these will shoot up in value slightly above a Raitaru.

No, it’s merely a way to escape the new cartel nature of the Noxicum changes. It’s also the only way.

I’m not going live under the boot of Null Sec Blocs and their lowsec pirate puppets for access to basic mineral required to build everything in the game.

We’re not even talking about advanced ships like T3D’s and crap, but simple ships like a RIFTER!

Which is great… until CCP uses this “exploit” as a reason to just finally turn off POSes and leave anyone not wanting to pay 1.4 bill for a Raitaru with no actual means of operating services themselves.

Now Im wondering how many low meta dropped modules it would take to build a Rifter, and what item would be the most efficient to farm…

Oh jesy chreesy Ive just started thinking about farming… eewwewewewewewew

If CCP deems it an “exploit” because the little guys can grab some noxcium, it would immediately imply that CCP itself acting on the behalf of giant power blocs (and thus imply that CCP devs are playing the game and abusing their power to alter the game to their own ends).

No little guy is going to setup a Raitaru post January with a 100% Quantum Core drop. The low sec pirates (or null blocs) will siege it with 10 Dreks simply to deny the compression and maintain their monopoly, while getting a free core to boot.
