Quantum Cores - Updates begin 8 September

Question is how many they manage to get before everyone unanchor their structures and only those who are afk or can actually defend remain.

I was referring to the small structure that small corps use, these are 50m^3.

What people are missing is that buy back price (in NPC orders) probably won’t be same as buy price. So drop from raitaru wont be 800 mil guaranteed.

Anyway. ISK sink from this will be so minimal compared to impact on other aspect of game that it will have zero effect on economy

Is there any way we can require the structures to need 5x the amount of cores if its on a gate grid?
That would really be f’in perfect

Finally those pesky ugly heaps of metal would be farmed away

from the devblog: “In EVE, death is a serious matter.”

Is it, though, really?

We’re playing a game where we’re immortal gods who can pilot spaceships with smaller human crews and laugh in the face of death. Doesn’t seem that serious as in some other games I can think of.

Why not just make upwell structures drop components and rigs that were used to produce them (at some % … 50% ? maybe ?).

I would make it different way. Let’s lower the base price for Quantum Cores and make it grow, depending on:

  1. Target system security, so in hisec it will be cheapest, in nullsec the most expensive;
  2. How many structures are in system already, so if a small hisec indy corp decides to anchor a Raitaru closer to a trade hub, they have to pay more, and less for a remote system.
  3. Let’s make Quantum Cores available in hisec LP shops for a high price though.

Isn’t gonna change. Big alliances aren’t going to come for your tiny structures.

I bolded the dumb part.

Just because you don’t own your own structure doesn’t mean you can’t use someone elses.

And less profit =/= no profit.

Is the point.

If every emerging corp has structure’s, that’s structure spam.

Stopping structure spam means small/emerging corps shouldn’t have structure’s.

Use other peoples or use NPC stations.

On the other hand: If pvp now pays consistently well it is a reason for industrious people to earn some thick moneys. It is as always a matter of who adapts first to this change.

Making New Eden Great Again

Except you know, they didn’t forget WH space.
They forgot about 1 group of special people who decided they were putting a keepstar in a C2. The rest of WH space is fine. (Yes I know there is probably more than the one snowflake, but really, on the whole it’s fine and didn’t get forgotten about).
Honestly given the rest of the systems, I’d just go ‘tough luck, you took a gamble on that’ and maybe be nice about letting them get it GM moved out of the system after they unanchor it.

Sunesis could do it.

Imagine the sh*tstorm if quantum cores were eden store item.

It literally does nothing to stop the structure from being set up, it merely adds a little extra chore/vulnerability, so big groups with the resources to set up frivolous structures will still be able to.
