Quantum Cores - Updates begin 8 September

As a wardeccer, I like the fact that the war still has to be paid for. This pays off those who pay attention, take the time to scout and run intel, still allows the owner 24 hour notice to get their structure refueled and ability to mount a defense.

I think you have a good point, but, players could simply create a new corp for each structure they want, to evade an escalating cost.

So what, the changes to structures and fitting, compounded with abandoned structures and increased deployment times wasn’t enough?
Now this core thing? A new problem for structure management coupled with increasing problems for logistics routes?
I’m all for having more reasons to PVP, but this is just stupid.
I can’t imagine how hard this will hit people.
Sure some big groups will just need to put some work in, but realistically all this does is screw the little guy.

There are groups that already do this to make it as expensive as possible to remove their structures from places like HS.

OOC: don’t care, got on KM! #worthit!

but yeah, content xD

Oh, you are completely right. It would be bad if players could start bashing any structure that turns abandoned without any notice ahead at all.

If only there were NPC stations to provide the services that citadels provide.

Which still screws over the little guy. Ever been hellcamped inside a npc structure?

I like where CCP is going and it scares me. Over the years I’ve become accustomed to a soothing disgruntlement when it comes to CCP, if they keep this up I might have to rethink that.

Ever heard of an insta-undock bookmark? Also I had it happen this weekend. It happens.

How about fixing POS spam as well?

tethering? soonTM i’m hearing. . .
deliveries? tha’d be nice too…
Not triggering 24hr CD on same-station clone-jumps, be awesome too. . .

But…
CCP: NO! more moronic mechanics that in-directly fix a problem we made x-years ago… kthxbye!

Great change. Prices for the core are a bit low, though. Should be 1b for Astrahus and 10b for Fortizar.

Why would you make as much if not more than what it costs to make the structure?

Fine. Now if someone starts spamming with Keepstars he will pay extra 30b for it. /trollface/

Great idea but I think you missed an opportunity to make this player built with several materials that need love. Eve prides itself on being dynamic and adjusting the dynamics is better then having this blue-loot.

The incentive and reward for attacking structures will be increased and the chance of both sides showing up to fight is also increased.

Only in CCP’s pipedream world. Their ideas of incentives are well documented as junk. You just need to look a the latest statements of CCP Coyote on why and how people participate in invasion activities.

Instead of putting in real, enforceable limits on structures per systems, CCP again goes for the soft approach that has always failed in the past. CCP just does not learn.

The Quantum Core is installed into the most central and heavily protected location within the structure, and because of this security, they will always survive the ultimate destruction of the structure intact.

Fun thing about that: The most central and heavily protected location within a structure is also the place where the reactor resides, from which the most violent explosion of the structure originates once it is destroyed. This justification is just as stupid for the reason why the core survives as CCP’s approach to sell this as a limit for structure spam. It’s outright comical.

CCP also forgot to include Zoar and Sons as sell location for the cores. Zoar is a founding member or Upwell, remind you.

Will it actually change anything in the end?

So…

CCP wanted to give every player the oportunity to play the game to its full potential, introducing structure`s and riggs and all kind of other shizzle…

Than, small groups started working hard on getting a Sotiyo to build the supers they used to be able to build in a POS , but now they had to spend 20B for a structure, and 30B for a rig because CCP nerfed the f*ck out of TE of BPO`s…

Than the whole mineral shortage bullsh*t started … and is going on and on, rendering all the pilots who trained for a rorq absolite…

And now on top the same small group hase to come up with an other 10B for a core, where they get NO benefit from what so ever.( no fuel reduction , bonus what so ever)

And … a core for a sotiyo is 50 KM3??? how do we ship that?

TLDR: CCP please reconsider this bullsh*t idea and put effort in erea`s of the game where its needed.

Thanks!
