Fuu. One hears it as a more polite way of saying manure, I suppose because it comes from the organs. Words. What you lot call offal, those are guts.
Still interested in aquiring some of these to see if theyâd be a viable addition to the Estateâs livestock. Sellers contact me.
Well, itâs not just us, itâs, you know, the actual meaning of the word.
You might be looking for âdungâ. (But if you are, I have 2 questions for you: 1) Ugh, why are you looking for dung? and 2) you already said they drop it all over the place, whyâs it so hard to find? I know, I know, horrible humor.)
So, I did a little looking, and it looks like âoffalâ also includes byproducts of a âprocessâ generally, including viscera (byproducts of slaughtering cattle). That could be taken to include animal byproducts, though I think that might be a slight misusage. Anyway, it seems to be refuse or waste material broadly, including rotting meat, so including dung in that (not specifically, but as part of the broad category of âoffalâ) doesnât seem like too much of a stretch.
And it does seem to include a LOT of stuff that probably doesnât get included in recipes very often. Thatâs probably a narrower and more specialized use of the term.
Well lookit you, beinâ all technically correct and nitpicky!
:sniff: Iâm so proudâŚ
It strikes me as wholly appropriate that offal and awful are so near one another in pronunciation.
âŚit does? They might be when you say it. These rotty autotranslate programs, I swear they make everyone sound like a Caldari office worker.
So can you eat them, or what? The buffalo.
Are you kidding? You buy whole pygmy water buffalo, breaded, in 5-, 10-, and 20-piece boxes. They come with your choice of six different dipping sauces!
Or as burgers. Small ones. Obviously.
I belive the technical term for small burgers are âslidersâ, i guess itâs because they are so small that they slide right downâŚ
and greasy
