You also may wanna try linking up with a WH corp.
You mentioned Signal Cartel. I’ve heard good things about them but there are others as well.
Eventually, you’ll have to learn some combat skills too.

I’ve been with signal cartel since I was 11, then took a long break and returned when I was 14
What I’m trying to say is that Signal cartel remains within my heart, I’m not sure if ill ever be able to walk away from signal cartel
Ahh well just join up and join some fleet ops.
That’ll help as well.
Did I ever say I h8 numbers?
Well, I do… but for what it’s worth, I honestly fell in doubt in regards to today’s stats being “bad for CCP”.
We think numbers are down… but are they really?
I was checking (numbers again) the revenue of this:
Live services or “in-game purchases”… so, are we sure that “sales” or daily concurrency is indeed what counts? Do you really think that this decline is hurting the game finances? You can count me out as CEO of an ant farm but I would have taken action long ago… if that was the case.
So, whatever is going on, cannot be as bad as we often speculate.
On the other hand… there’s one’s personal experience, to which I can only say that I feel EVE is getting too big for the avg daily concurrency, which affects some gaming styles more than others…
Think of it as a pond… a very big one. You now have less “living things” in the same space, so in order to have a functional environment, in a predator-prey daily interaction such as EVE, things get bloody rather quickly for the environment becomes more and more predictable, as the population tends to agglomerate either by area or activity, which is often the reason behind peeps whining in the forums.
I understand your intentions and read your scope… but honestly doubt CCP or the puppeteers are oblivious to the situation. So, if you ever try on sending a memo again, perhaps making it about your experience, would be worthy-er than mentioning numbers they know better than you, me, Phillip Tattaglia . Moe Greene. Stracci. Cuneo… and Gix, the princess… and of course… Tarzan’s mother in law.
Just a heads up, not sure where you grabbed your numbers clip from but you’ve got some numbers there that are typos, where millions are listed as billions, and missing decimal points etc.
Also not sure what Electronic Arts financial profile has to do with CCP/EVE. If you want their numbers just search for them in PA’s financial reports.
Eve Online does have a few cheap seats to gain access to omega status still so it really won’t be declining rapidly until those cheap seats in question are adjusted.
See why I h8 numbers?
It was just a quote… but it shows that of 7, 5 are from in game purchases and 2 are from game sales. That’s how big the business of “live services” is.
This means that like in EVE, those numbers that we think are low, may not reflect actual financial problems and CCP is ok with collaterals being a bigger income. It’s either that, or no one cares, which I doubt. Which makes me h8 numbers even more.
I did not looked closely at it. Thank you
Well actually with EA, the 2 bill from game sales means just that, the selling of the full game. So like $79.99 to buy Madden 23.
“Live-service games are products that are always online with frequent updates and in-game purchases.”
So that includes any subscription costs, expansions, DL content, in-game purchase, or out-of-game purchase for something like currency or passes etc.
In EVE, effectively all of their income is “live services” so there’s nothing hidden. The stated revenue in the financial reports is the stated revenue. We all know what is being monetized so there’s nothing magically hidden.
I seriously doubt that with half the players online of a few years back, that CCP’s revenue has gone up. It would be surprising if they can even hold on to their previous income levels over the next year.
Understood… It’s still hard for me to comprehend such way of handling a business…

Based on what you said, then it may be true that no one cares and one day soon, the servers just won’t start.
A time warp, back to when the path to the Eve Gate was still vibrant with traveler’s and danger.
We are coming into winter soon lets wait and see how the numbers look then. For now it is to late to go back to the good old days. The monetization of this game has had its impact and lets wait and see what happens in the winter. I have a business to run any way and may start looking for a new ex wife but doubt it so just may buy a new boat and go fishing or elk hunting instead. If I ran my company the way this one has been run, I would now be flipping burgers some where, so lets see.
Bro, seek help
No, it hasn’t. Eve’s player count was highest between 2011-2013 but you were only like 4 years old then so I don’t blame you for regurgitating all the ‘facts’ you read on the eve subreddit.
Most of the player base can afford Omega, but some of them have unsubbed alts as a result of the price increase, and less alts is not a bad thing. Lower player count doesn’t necessarily indicate less individual players just less accounts active.
Can 14 year olds even play this game? Didn’t realize their brains were developed enough at that age to process the mechanics of Eve or have the patience for it. Hats off to you for trying to stick it out but 4-5 weeks isn’t a very long time. Keep trying.
Sorry to say it but the target demographic for Eve isn’t 14 year olds living on allowance from their parents. Never has been.
Then explain why Hilmar is a multi millionaire now and not a Johnny Employee of The Month at Maccy Ds
Wash your parents car for $20 or something. Do a paper round.
Clearly parents have their priorities wrong. EVE is a necessity.
While I agree 20 bucks a month is overkill for most people,
Big patience in this game however, is a top requirement, so it’s advisable to reconsider your approach to this game in that regard.
All the best, youngling ^^
OP. U are wrong. We have holidays. And for sure PCU day after day inclining!
The explanation for that rising subscription price is simple: the number of players is falling, and the costs must be covered. So the math is simple.
Before I deleted my old account on which I played for 9+ years, I watched the game crash. Like every “sensational” improvement, more players were leaving. The chart from the Aug’22 report clearly shows that the game has returned to its 2008 state. Perfect development and success.
CCP, you can see, does not give a ■■■■ since he is not trying to do anything with it and allows players to leave the competition like RSI (Roberts Space Industries)
At this rate, in 5 years, the game may not be there anymore.
By your logic, the game died 5 years after 2008, yet here we are 19 years after the game launched in 2003 and the sky has yet to fall. As a matter of interest , why would you delete an account instead of just unsubbing? You do realize that star citizen, a simulator and EVE, a strategic game, are not even the same type of game, right?
