Rebalancing emerging conduits without killing it

Aiden has been pretty clear that it’s not the reward level for newbies he’s concerned about, it’s jumping on the loot train to Richville himself and mainlining EC’s until his fingers drop off.

Limiting EC’s to the few Trig invasion systems is hardly about accessibility for new players.

From various sources, it looks to me like new-ish players can solo these sites (after the reward/respawn nerf) for at least 25M ISK per hour, and a couple of new-ish players could team up in a variety of different ships and builds to complete the sites and make 30+M per hour.

That makes it accessible content, completable in a variety of ships and builds, available to even Alpha players, that currently can’t be mega-farmed for ISK by more advanced players. Puts it on par with level 3-4 mission running for the level of players it’s intended for, I’d guess.

At that point I’d say CCP has the mix about right. Even the downtime between isn’t bad because it means people have to stop every now and then and think “Is there something else I should be doing?”.

Those limits sound decent to me, but then, I’ve never been about minmax farming of content. So maybe they sound crazy to other players.

You didn’t, but seems the opposite is true. I’m not the one who’s actively being driven out of the game by its developer. : )

I don’t remember saying that, I only said I want to keep this content because I run them myself. I run the ECs and bring newbies with me, so they don’t have to grind countless hours before buying their first barge/battleship/whatever ■■■■ they want.

And how will you limit bot activity without hurting real newbies? I’d like to hear some different voices since this is what the thread is about. Right now I can hardly find any alternatives but borrowing other players’ power to take down afk/bots, and those risk can be avoided if the newbie is cautious enough.

And we can’t just double response time in every system, that affects too many aspects outside this topic.

That’s bad.
plex price depends on the ease of activities. Making an activity easier means plex price will increase.

There are many other ways that can earn much more than ECs. Look at nullsec/wormholes, I have the reason to believe nearly all of the residents there can plex their accounts easily if they want. So far the only time I saw plex price fluctuates is when the Koreans entered the server and the plex price dropped for some time, then it returned to 3.2-3.4 mil each.

On the contrary, welcome to my ban list.
Have a nice four months of not bothering me with your trivial posts - I sure as hell will enjoy not seeing you around. Buh bye.

Why should newbies be able to fund their game with ISK alone? That’s utterly insane as a minimum newbie-level income and completely breaks the economy.

How is that even related to what you answer to ?

If you make an activity (that provides direct isk in the case of the EC) easier, to the point people can do it easily, then the value of what was produced will decrease.

I don’t care about WH or whatever you are fantasming about. Your answer is completely stupid. READ what I wrote, and keep the context in mind, when you read that, otherwise you are off-topic.

WH, etc are off topic.

I don’t care about or even bother to understand what is being discussed, but I would wager a fair amount of money that Anderson Geten is on the wrong side of it.

We don’t need another Emerging Conduit Nerf thread. I’m closing this for redundancy.
