You need a puller for every ganker you will be using…
Ok, that sound balanced
The funnest part is lighting up local with your pullers going all blinky and then hitting a target a few minutes later and then asking, “Hey guy, did you NOT see what just happened a few minutes ago? Did you not get the hint that something was about to go down?”
Miners…a funny bunch.
If miners is the challenge are you looking in this game, then you have very low expectations from yourself
The notion that miners are pre-aligned when mining always seems to surprise me, because unlike rats that follow you when you align asteroids stay stubbornly in the spot that they were and will not follow you and there is only so much distance before you are out of range.
I can assure you however that a fair number of miners rely on the school of fish method of hoping that the gankers nab someone else and not them.
Gankers, a funny bunch, don’t like lambs either ROFL…
Okay, well just a touch of advice: Saying goofy stuff no ganker would ever say is not a very good way to convince people you were a ganker.
Like, look here. What the hell are you talking about? Put down the shovel, brother!
Oh god no…I did that for a year but realized that while James is pure and the one true light of NW, many of the agents are anything but.
Honestly, I met a ton of nice miners in that time and helped a bunch too…it was kinda fun patrolling the same areas are you got to know a lot of the locals…
Use a higgs…go slow…make BMs…use two existing points and double back on yourself…
There are FOUR ways to not only be aligned but also moving and able to almost instawarp.
…and yes, miners use the “oh please god not me” fit a lot…
You’re the pro Pig…I just wore the hat for a while. Never claimed anything else. If you don’t get what I was doing then that’s your issue…
Until gankers will be so present to force miners to stay aligned all the time, all miners have been quitted the game or moved in delve
There is a very simple counter to bumping. All it takes to counter a bumper is a single friend in a bumping ship. Seems quite balanced to me.
Yes you did… here:
WTF? You put this as if a single character could bump and suicide any freighter at will. A single character not bein on par with 7(ish) to 40 characters seems totally fine to me.
At this point a solo ganker has no chance to keep a target that requires it to be bumped and to kill it either, sounds balanced to me.
And guess what, if people decide to play solo and fly these easy targets around without any help from other people, that is their decision. This whole, the solo player has no chance to defend himself is nothing but a smokescreen.
But fine, give solo freighter pilots their cake, but then I demand balance for the solo ganker as well. Which means a nerf in EHP of freighters that the poor solo ganker can have his fun too.
The funny thing is that if they just followed the code then most miners would survive ganks…but over and over and over, greed wins and they open the door to be hit. I kinda hoped that they were just balancing risk/reward but really, it was just greed.
The stream of miners will never end…
Using a skiff orbiting the roid is so much easier in areas with large ganker populations, better still is finding a more out of the way place and chilling there, which is what I have done.
I have used the method you detailed in Stain, after the crying about gun mining got the refine rates nerfed. But I prefer using the Endurance and the Prospect for my non-hisec ninja mining needs. Because most of the time I just mine until someone notices me than I just get safe unload and move to a completely different system. Works every time.
What if ALL the suicide gankers who read your post finds it to be nonsense?
Great! You are at least following the code in part by using a proper ship, being aware of where is and is not safe. Not only are you profiting but you are enjoying and actually playing the game.
Now if you used that big brain of yours to take advantage of bumpers, then you would have a lot of fun and some great stories.
When you ask them all, let me know. I’ll wait here.
Do you really believe at any length that kind of cultist crap?
Shooting miners brings no challenge, after few days of that i will be brain dead as a rock.
This is my little project were i explore suicide ganking on something more challenging than seal cubs, despite the corp name
Do it and tell me how easy it is.
Not sure what you are trying to say? Balance is a moving feast.
A single character can bump a single character, but as it is now the victim character has to have four accounts to be able to deal with the bumper. That is not good game balance, because in lowsec (thanks @knowledgeminer) I just need two accounts as there is no CONCORD protection for the aggressor.
So that is harassment then? If he is not intending to carry out an in game action like shooting him. Personally I would just log off in that case and laugh.
I guess that can apply to noob ships based on your logic.
You make the classic mistake of missing out counter play at the base level. When I suggested that bumping be removed I also suggested that EHP could be reduced to balance it. But in terms of your logic perhaps you will insist that an interceptor can take out a Titan next.
The actual act of killing is pretty easy. The real value comes from the whining and crying they do in local. Especially when they threaten to sue you, bring in lawyers (to press charges in a spaceship game) and other silliness.
It’s actually incredibly hilarious to gank miners in highsec since you never know how much salt you can harvest from them. Some are silent, but others are just a straight up gold mine of tears and whining.
Well, a specialist will most likely recommend you some alternative therapy for your sadistic tendencies.
If i want real salt i just go on street and steal ice cream from toddlers
