Yes CCP will get rid of the red dot when it sorts out the solar glare issues both are going to be done at the same time.

And I would say this is not working as intended. Example:
I open my Inventory, move cargo from one ship to the next. Board the ship I just put stuff into. Red Dots. Acknowledge red dots. Undock. Red Dots again on the same ship for the same cargo, as if during undock it is normally expected that your cargo escapes and I need to be reminded that it is still there. I do a LOT of transporting, and I get to see this crap a lot
Things I could, and I mean possibly could see a use for.
- New player during their first 30 days
- Market purchase not in same station. Hey you bought something, but not here.
- Corporate Deliveries
- Asset Safety
- Corporate Hangers when someone else puts stuff in it, not you the active player puts stuff in it.
- Production delivery
All of these need an opt out option, or a simple 1 stop acknowledge all button. The fact that have to keep opening windows I just looked at seconds earlier and hover over every red dot to remove it is the irritating part. Just give me some button to clear them all without hover.

Is there any update on when we will get some settings for the red dot?
I took a couple months break and I still can not turn it off or configure it in anyway? How long does it take to add a feature that should be obvious.
Seems totally strange that I can configure my notifications to my hearts content but I can not do anything with the red dot.
I would love to turn it off completely on a couple of my characters and/or configure it to show only when it would interest me to have it on my main.
The design principle of always on and not configurable is old school mentality. Please progress and stop regressing.
I guess I will check back in a couple more updates.
for the love of god CCP - do you have any sense of customer satisfaction? For something like 3 months now the stupid red dot and yet not one stupid option to opt out.

Dabbling a little after a long hiatus and noticed a lot of red dots aroundā¦ I have no clue how I feel about it yet.

The interesting thing here is, that i try to figure out, what the benefits of a red dot is. What happens, if you refine stuff for your friend, and you got minerals on stock, and want that sorted out, what is needed and what is yours and what is from your friend. Then the red dot makes sense. otherwise, as it is implemented now, it makes not that sense. But hey, who am i to judge ?

never apparently, per the csm minutes they said the red dot is generally being accepted and just needs to be cleaned up a bit along with fixing the fact that you moving ammo to your cargo shouldnt trigger the red dot

Iām still waiting on CCP reversing their decision to move the Undock button from the NeoCom bar (default lower left corner) to the Station overview bar (default upper right). CCP never roll back changes, especially the bad ones.
I suspect a lot depends on which half-wit signed off on the red-dot - too senior to be seen to be wrongā¦ although I suspect the majority of CCP staff āsecretlyā know itā¦ rumours of toxicity have run rampant for a good few yearsā¦
