Relative to a base load plant, they are expensive. IIRC, Pacific Gas & Electric in their last GRC (2017) used a base load plant to determine marginal generation capacity costs (MGCC) and it was something like $50-$60 whereas SCE used a CT unit (a peaker) and the MGCC came in at something like $140 or so.
Hey, itâs now a Bitcoin AND Elon Musk hype thread. This is amazing.
Someone call the VR and the AI fanboys, we have a party over here!!
Iâm expecting even more â â â â â â â â coming soon.
Skyrim discussion incoming.
Bitcoins promote insider trading. There are no laws regulating it. Period. I love you .CODE, I really do, and for that I hate to counter argue with you, but like I said to this parasol noob that kept boasting about his bitcoin boom etc (when I told him it will crash hard and it did 5 days after my reply to him), I really know what I am talking about here.
The whole boom was a move made among very powerful friends, they all drove it up, and once the regular folks joined, catching the last train wagon, it was already too late, they all sold it together. (easy way for the very rich to get richer). And they did exactly that.
It is unregulated, mate. Insider trading is what happened in uncontrolled ways and the ones paying the price for it (literally) were the common folks. There are many studies (not news media, but real actual studies) supporting this what I wrote.
love .CODE !!! xoxo
I donât argue with you about this point. I have no idea about bc trading and I donât really care all that much since I donât own any and think it is a rather extreme risk investment.
What I care more about is the technical side of things. I simply mentioned that all transactions are visible in the blockchain and therefore this is all exceptionally transparent and Iâm always puzzled if people claim that it canât be traced.
technically speaking, this is amazing, especially in terms of how the interaction is between buyer and seller (bulletproof security). The issue is however, that it is unregulated. I mean, if third world nations dominate Bitcoin pumping, that should already raise the first alarm bell and this is just one worrisome thing to consider (of many in the realms of Bitcoin).
I can only guess, but can it be that this all just makes a problem visible which is otherwise present as well but very well hidden.
This was tried, its called Second Life and ruined thousands of peoples lives, while making handfull of people very very rich.
Go play that and âearn money while playingââŚ
What post? Ive read them all and i dont see where you explain how its different?
And im still having a very hard time understanding why you want this in eve, and not just mine bitcoinc from a PC in your home?
Bitcoin mining is a passive actvity.
bitcoin mining at home is inefficient. Energy bills of regular farmer overtakes in cost as to produce bitcoin (which would take a brutal amount of long time). That is why third world countries do it, they pay/bribe energy firm employees to steal energy, reroute it to bitcoin farms. That is what happens in Russia, India, N. Korea, African countries obviously, and South America.
Yet another reason why it doesnt fit into a game.
Youâre lagging behind, mate. Tesla Powerwalls and a set of solar panels on your roof have recently become a hot topic among Bitcoin miners due to cost savings. And if you really want to go overboard, you can use your Tesla Model S to do some mining. No, seriously, read the article. This â â â â is interesting.
@OP
So why should I bother Bitcoin mining in Eve when I can just get a Tesla and mine away?
hint: donât answer that question
This is an absolutely incredible waste of energy. If those calculations would actually do something, ok. But they are just burning electricity to calculate some completely useless stuff.
Perfect⌠so GigX and his alleged criminal attachments really would go and cut the Judgeâs hands off.
I mean⌠it was just a game. But now some asshole had to go steal millions of dollars of real money from what would 100% involve organized crime (you canât say they wouldnât get involved in free money). I make no accusations against GigX, merely repeat speculations Iâve heard.
Organized crime isnât just a group of NYC thugs paying their tribute to their Italian patrone. Nor is it a group of Chinese nerds in an internet brothel just for giggles. RMT is a very organized industry that spans all nationalities. You can bet those hands, they sure would want a piece and are already getting their share.
This guy is and has been trolling early on in his thread. He knows this stuff is controversial due to its seedy origins. 90% of the world (Probably more) doesnât care or give a â â â â .
Iâm gonna laugh so hard when this crap falls on its face from Governments swinging the hammer hard.
Who says the govât needs to swing a hammer⌠look at the effect of public trading on something with absolutely no way to substantiate its value.
Pump.
Dump.
Pump.
Dump.
Pump.
Crash.
