i am also having connection issues. not with just ccp but also service like rockstar games services and steam.

Our SSO and Database has fully recovered now. Players should now be able to log back in to the game and use our services on the website. I am going to hang around here, so please let me know if you are still experiencing any issues.

Is it an Amazon Web Servers (AWS) thing? Half the internet runs off AWS, and downdetectorā€™s reportnig problems on loads of stuff right now.

So, letā€™s take the pressure of the EVE devs: if AWS or the Single Sign On service from Steam or something is borked, then itā€™s likely that:

  1. They canā€™t do anything about it except wait for the third party, e.g. Amazon, to fix it
  2. Theyā€™re probably already being yelled at by CCP management

Iā€™ve been there myself as a dev. Itā€™s not fun.

Cloudflare eh? Thatā€™s used by loads of services. it delivers little bits of content to websites, scripts and suchlike, and also helps connect clients with servers by finding IP addresses.

And good news! I tried ONE more time to add my 3rd account back to the launcher about 5, 6 minutes before downtime. After entering username/password, it finally worked this time. Didnā€™t even ask me for another code from my email. Good thing, as Iā€™d already generated 3 codes in the past hour or so. ;D

Anyway, I was able to get into character select on all 3 accounts this time instead of just 2, but didnā€™t bother to try logging in due to the downtime looming. Iā€™ll try again in 15 mins after downtime.

Thanks for anything you did, and just for being aware of our pain with this, it is appreciated!

If this is a DDOS going on causing this and affecting so many other games and services as others have reported upthreadā€¦ what is it with late Saturday night/early Sunday morning attacks lately? The one in late January/early February started on a late Saturday night USTZ / early Sunday morning EUTZ. This one was about 5, 6 hours later than that one, but otherwise same time of week. Egad!
