What, you mean the people willing to take risks will benefit at the expense of the people who refuse to leave the (relatively) safe zone? Unacceptable!
Merin, this bit you know is factually wrong.
CCP have stated many times High Sec is not the Tutorial zone, Null Sec/WHâs are not the end game zone. EVE is not zoned like a theme park. Keeping trying to push this narrative the way you do just makes it trolling and detracts from the rest of your sensible posting.
@MB_ThePhotographer You are being silly here, clearly people who take risks should profit more, this is a fundamental principle of EVE being applied here.
@Hoolygen_Mikwilks Maybe have a serious think about how little HS lost, the people who actually lost big time in this update were Null Sec. Also player retention is important yes, but you only want to keep the right people. Not people who rage and accuse anyone who disagrees with them of being part of a LS Circle jerk. People like that are likely to cause more other people to quit in the long run because they rage so easily at people, and because they have such a poor understanding of the game and how its systems interact anyone they âteachâ will get the game wrong and also quit.
Now, itâs up to you if you want the above to actually apply to you or not.
its NOW MUCH easier to make bank in your low sec circle jerk now. its simple, with the new âupdateâ
You know one of the best things eve always had was, you could do what you wanted based on your game play and the community was always fun. I see its changed and people like you have shown me its time to move along
They can say it, but they treat it as such. It has the lowest profit, the least interesting content, and primarily attracts the sort of player that never wants to grow beyond the simplest and easiest parts of the game. Yeah, thereâs still the market side of highsec (which has value) but most of highsec is de facto a tutorial zone.
As it should be. Lowsec is riskier, rewards should be higher. And obviously it isnât that easy or you wouldnât have lost all of your ships and ragequit over your failed attempt to mine there.
No, they treat it according to the risk vs reward rule.
Which as youâve said of course it gets the lower rewards, but it has plenty of interesting content, you might not find it interesting but clearly plenty of others do, and does attract end game players in a number of professions, having quite an intricate rule set and behaviour pattern to master.
What High Sec does attract is people who want shorter play sessions and to not have to invest consistent time each week, as a shift worker now it suits me quite well as my experience in null was terrible with shift work and an odd TZ, as I missed basically all fleets, couldnât reliably do weekends due to weekend work, etc.
WHâs you clearly need to be able to be on constantly due to how fast evictions happen, and low sec is best if you can be reliable with a group of friends and learn the locals though yes, low sec can be done a bit more irregularly.
So, nothing in the above I wrote stops players being interested & capable of growing past the simple & easy parts of the game.
its always been that way, but taking away what little high sec had and forcing people away is the wrong direction for a mmo to take.
cheers
Isnât true,
Also isnât true.
High Sec still has plenty, no-one has been forced away. People have chosen to rage quit, but that is different.
I find it completely incomprehensible that people believe highsec content is interesting once theyâre out of their learning period. Mining is mindless and mostly AFK, missions are impossible to lose once you get a proper farming ship, and PvP has been over-nerfed as CCP tries to appeal to the people who want highsec to be a tutorial zone in all but name. Once you solve the game whatâs the point in playing? Why not play a single player game that does the solo PvE experience much better?
Now, I certainly understand why people would find it useful to have the ability to fall back on highsec mission farming or whatever when theyâre low on resources and things have gone badly elsewhere. But thatâs such a menial grind I genuinely have no idea how anyone could enjoy that and want it to be their primary (or only!) game experience.
weird - All variations of Omber and Kernite will be removed from Hisec asteroid belts
I wouldnât be leaving if they didnât make such drastic changes to mining, so yes Iâm out for now. Stepping away from a game that has removed what they enjoy doing isnât ârage quittingâ no matter how hard you stop your feet, it just isnât. Ill be back to check things out later with hopes they make better thought out changes. Time will tell, I now sub to warcraft and lotro and my sub for eve donât run out till dec. weâll see which one i stick with, but for now eve isnât one of them
I love eve and hope only good things for it.
Itâs almost like you excluded massive amounts of highsec content in your list including group content.
Obvious note, clearly finding high sec interesting does not preclude finding other areas of space interesting at the same time.
Is not
Kernite & Omber were region specific to start with and there is still plenty in a highsec belt. Also compare the price of Veld before and after patch. Has your isk income gone up.
Yeah, stomping your feet on the way out kinda is the definition of rage quitting.
And clearly it wasnât, since you also tried throwing it at me, clearly it was for anyone who disagreed with you.
i got that quote from this post, scroll up. And yes its been removed, its gone now.
Naw, ill be back to check things out. Only rage im seeing is from you and your buddy.
You mean you stepped into a reply that probably wasnât to you just like this very post.
LMFAO
Have a great day and a better tomorrow âŚ
With a nearby mineral price increase outlook of 100 - 1000% a mining ship loss cant be high enough

Iâve updated my website yesterday. The mineral contents have been updated, Iâve added Triglavian ores (behind a setting below the table) and also added Pochven region. Enjoy!
@Cerlestes Thanks for that. Can u just confirm that the âFound Inâ column has been updated? Iâve scouted a few lowsec regions to see what was where but not totally sure of the overall picture. Cheers.
@Yberta_Molk Yes Iâve updated the âfound inâ column according to the patch notes. But hereâs the thing: as far as I know there has never been an official statement from CCP ever as to where which ores can be found. So that column was based on multiple other sources which I had gathered over the years, and now Iâve updated it according to the text in the patch notes.
It looks really weird now, but then it has always looked weird: why did some factions have more highsec ore than others? Why did some factions have exlcusive lowsec ore?
Iâd love to get factual information on this and update the column accordingly. If you have any, please let me know. Iâm also thinking of including WH and anoms in that column in the future, as those locations now do not contain all ores anymore.
Edit: Iâve added Anomalies and W-space to the âfound inâ column and improved on its layout in v5.2.3.
