Wow, way to make it more harder for passive, non-pvp centered players. Wonderful, now I have more reason to quit this game by next year.
You like mining ships to go boom, I don’t.
Whatever, this changes nothing for my playstyle, I’ll just be earning less daily now by mining.
Good luck getting the Japanese to stick around this game. The new Phantasy Star Online looks even more attractive to me now.
I’ll continue playing this game as I have been for now, with these changes, you guys are accelerating my schedule to permanently quit this game for good.
Dealing with A-Hole players is one thing, but with even the developers making things difficult for players like me, there is no reason to stick around any longer than I have to.
Don’t bother replying, this will be my only post here. I won’t even read it.
What do you mean you want to reduce inventory? Null sec has been blowing the absolute living ■■■■ out of each other since what, June? July? Just the other night over 1 trillion of ships got turned into space dust. And prior to that absolute trillions in ships and infrastructure had been killed. Hell, the open weeks of the war saw what, 50+ caps go down? What more do you want? At this rate you’re gonna make us actually peace out and go back and stock pile for a while lol. The exact opposite of what you want will have been accomplished.
I recently started playing EVE Online (first post), and I have been focusing on achieving T2 Indy where I mine and produce my own things. After 3 months of hard work, I have finally prepared a decent small-scale T2 production line … and this just ruins all of that work for me.
I believe that this will adversely affect smaller, newer PVE players more than the veteran players.
I know I am just one player, but given the work I have put into my Indy goals since I started playing the game have been ruined significantly. I think this will be it for me.
LOL. ‘Blowing the absolute living ■■■■ out of one another’ my arse. Again: other than the structures, which have to be amortized over the years they existed, destruction in Fountain last month was down, year-over-year.
DOWN.
And that ■■■■-show the other night in 49-U wasn’t a fight, it was CCP’s server taking a crap on itself. Both sides decided not to really commit, or the node would’ve crashed.
Look, your conclusion of ‘this will force peace’ isn’t necessarily wrong… but don’t go overhyping this damp squib of a war as something cataclysmic. It might get there… but it ain’t there yet.
The most hilarious thing about this is that the miners (especially the high-sec safety crowd) are whining without realizing that their revenues are going to increase from these changes. Yes, the overall output will decrease, but because the entire market will be deflated, the purchasing power from their profits will remain intact. In fact, because the mineral market will deflate more than other markets (pending any new announcements), the purchasing power of the average miner will actually increase, because they’ll command a bigger share of the economy.
And every miner who leaves will be an even bigger boon to the ones who stay! Mining is about to become a whole lot more profitable.
I’ve been indy since 2013, I’m right there with you, they are effectively eliminating the indy aspect of the game. On a side note, shoot me an in game mail, I’ll be happy to share what i have learned over the years
I think they’re trying to slowly phase out hi sec all together and indeed are pushing for this game to be entirely pvp oriented. I cant see continuing to pay as much as I do a month for a game that keeps getting less and less fun… so many changes all the time I feel like I have no footing as the carpet keeps getting yanked out just as I start to get some purchase. McDonalds is as successful as it is because of consistency. Not because their food is good so think about that for a Minuit. Get it together Dev’s… Guess I’ll give Star Citizen a try.
If nobody can mine tritanium but high sec miners, while every region of space requires it, it’s going to be pretty profitable to mine that tritanium in high sec and export it.
If everyone is mining lower volumes of ore, while every region of space requires it, it’s going to pay a lot better per ore than before, for miners.
Yes, for the people on the other end (the ones buying the ships) the prices will increase. But I’m willing to pay that if it means a healthier game.
CCP completely missing the fact that one of the reasons a lot of people play is for the different career posibilities. There are PVP games everywhere, some of us play Eve for other gameplay roles. I have been playing Eve since 1/2008. I’m an industrialist, I mine/refine/build/sell. I live in a very rural area and have to use a dish to connect with which lags. I couldn’t do PVP if I wanted to (which I don’t) . By completely nerffing the mining like this, I’m unable to continue. I had 9 full accounts, as they have ruined the mining opurtunities, I reduced down to just 3 full accounts. Time to give them up and find another game. If the game managers insist on being idiots and driving off their customer base, so be it.
