Resource Redistribution Update

Stupid is not a problem.

This change is utter ■■■■■■■■. I really don’t get what CCP is trying to accomplish here short of creating dependency on different regions of space for different resources. What’s the point of getting to end-game null sec when you’re now dependent on HS and LS for certain minerals. Also, based on this- https://www.eveonline.com/article/q80qky/the-eve-online-ecosystem-outlook, does CCP think we all make too much isk? Seriously? Not in my alliance. Typical CCP apple cart turnover for the sake of change. Just like the Blackout, all they’ll accomplish is pissing more people off and dropping their subscriber base.

What reply can they give?

Stage 5 will be CCP selling ships and the end of industry, buy ISK , buy Ship explode rinse repeat. think a dev wants to come on the forums and admit that, the server would melt

The player base doesn’t pay their wages. The company does. You can’t skip the 10 steps in the middle and claim the player base pays their wages.
And their wages aren’t paid for them to take abuse.

I’ve seen I think two questions in this entire thread worth Dev time answering and one was more Arrendis being a smart ass since the answer was obtainable anyway, and more a complaint about presentation.

I feel concerned about what seems like CCP ignoring CSM on this, where the CSM seem to have voiced quite valid concerns, as is their job. I can only hope they reconsider as this seems taken way over the top.

On the specific point of wormholes I feel sad to see it take this path. WHs was always a charming place to live in the mysterious dark away from that odd place with Local chats and gates. This update seem to do severe damage to that by crippling the ability to be self sustaining in the deep dark sea. A sad chance indeed, and a bit of a loss of identity for the WH life.
Would it be possible to at least have WHs be able to have all the ores it had before, just at smaller rates, so it is more efficient to buy it, but it is fully possible to live the unique style that WHs has offered so far if one truly wish it?

There are many interesting ideas seemingly better presented here, Please reconsider this idea, you can do so much better.

Well, I think that’s about it for my 3 omega accounts. Only played a year and the game has gotten worse every month. Really enjoyed mining (HS, Moon goo, belts) before this farce started. After ‘scarcity’ We reduced down to a single moon and were forced to mine WH’s and LS. Actually got me and my corp to explore more of eve. Even started to get to the point I could afford to lose a few ships in PVP. All this will do is cause every LS bottleneck entry point to be permanently camped by Carriers making it impossible for anything other than super corp or alliances to break in. When they do, they just move in and prevent movement again. Wealth flows out of new players hands and in to the old player base’s already deep pockets,
This latest change breaks my desire to spend $500+ a year on it.

I’ve got a better solution. Undo everything you have done in 2020. ON 1/1/21 do a complete server wipe and restart eve resources at zero. Let us keep the skill points and trained skills but make all of eve open again to allow the universe to regrow. Think what incredible fun a wide open universe could be.

@CCP_Psych did, to clarify something. That’s more than most of the devblog threads have gotten since about 3 months before the Blackout.

It’s true, I am both of those things.

in any business which this game is if you have a complaint or concern you at least get some dialog back from the management this is not even being replied to at least not in any feasible and constructive dialog

Dear CCP. You have been planning a set of changes in intervals that represent a fix. While we agree on the symptoms and perhaps on aspects of the cause(s); we the vast majority of the players DO NOT AGREE with your objectives or the playstyle you are creating with your proposal. PLEASE STOP. I suggest you engage with our CSM and ask us in surveys (that you are transparent about) what kind of gameplay distribution we want in different game areas.

The CSM are not always right. They have their interests and their view points. They often make good points, but in no way are CCP obliged to obey them.

Most MMO’s you will never get a Dev to comment on the forums, EVE Devs already give more feedback than most.

As quoted.

You must be new here…

thats not a date just a vague reference in reply

It’s almost like they aren’t giving us a date yet because it’s not confirmed or something…
But it is a timeframe.

Um, have you tried reading the accompanying dev blog? In it, they mention why they think things got to the point that drastic change was needed, what their plan is, and what the hope to accomplish with the changes.

I mean, you can think that their design choices were wrong, but assuming that they don’t have a plan seems to be willfully ignorant.

I dont see any improvement in your so called resource distribution. all i see is your killing the independent miner. Not everyone wants to go into null, or deal with the bull S**T of corps and alliances, you just made it required if you want to be in industry. If you wanted just combat get rid of the industry all together, stop pretending your trying to redistribute the wealth or being far to the independent miner or industrialist.

I have this awful, awful feeling this isn’t to end industry, this is in preparation of some kind of monetization.

This is what shitty MMO do before they start selling boosters for real money were you get x2 or x3 the amount of resources harvested if you pay x amount of cash.

As in there’s only 90 units of rock in game available to everyone. You mine those 90 units though with a booster you get 180/270 units instead.
