Resource Redistribution Update

listen to the players, do not do what you have in mind, it kills the game

I am also not CCP. Yelling at me doesn’t do you much good.

ISDs are volunteers, usually players, who are helping out with tasks like low-level forum moderation and clean-up. Please do not be a jerk to the nice people who are not in any way responsible for things you don’t like, or in any position to do anything about any of it. They’re just trying to help make sure things run smoothly.

I already made a lot of isk off of snatching up minerals early. I saw morphite go from 11k/unit to 38k/unit in about 45 minutes.

CCP did say they wanted to do this to cut down on the stockpiles, and that they were going to review it and make changes at a later time. I’m sure you probably don’t believe they will, and you’ve probably got good reasons not to, but I’m ok with seeing how these changes go.

I remember when they did this one. These changes are literally history repeating, the outcome of those changes? were the changes that gave everyone access to all minerals in their own space, because people didn’t want to have to go everywhere, they wanted to be able to conquer space, defend it, and exploit it.

They claim this won’t hurt the small guy, The last round of changes were justified as “this will be better for the small guy because they’ll be able to get everything they need and defend only a few systems” This heavily hurts the little guy because they can’t defend multiple locations like the big Null sec alliances can. all this change does is hand MORE power to the NULL sec alliances as they will take over Low sec.

Do you not remember the Band of Brothers “Cleansings of Arida” operations? because they needed to defend thier lowsec holdings? or have all the Dev’s who were in that alliance moved on from CCP?

CCP should just finally kill off all industry and sell isk packages. Use isk to buy ships, mods and ammo and w/e. Boom done. It’s their final goal anyways, so why drag us through such a long and drawn bs multi year event getting there? They have already gone pass the “pay to win” barriers and have free daily login rewards so they are almost there. They are only missing golden ammo and ships at this point. So screw it. The game is getting ruined with every new update now so just get on with it.

This change is probably the worst change that CCP has decided to go forward with in this game since the jump drive changes 5 years ago. I honestly don’t think you people at CCP play the game.

Once again, screwing the small time player. this is terrible. We’re going to lose more players. You need eto give newer players basic things to do and make “decent” isk while they learn to play. To me, this seems like a money grab to make players buy plex. sorry this change , since the beginning is no good.

Why not come mine in lowsec? It’ll be much more profitable than before.

I just watched a show covering this topic on twitch. CCP says “Trust me, this will be great”. Here is the problem… CCP is trashing play styles left and right, been doing it for over a year and they really haven’t given anything back to compensate what they take away. I am now skilling for my third play style that could help me earn enough isk to be able to spend some time in small roaming gangs which is what I want to do. CCP has trashed my last 2 career attempts with the nerfs of this last year. My new skill queue has been to get my mining up to speed… now this. Its pretty frustrating to see that no matter what I do, I will not be able to afford to spend much time in small roaming gangs. CCP promises its going to get better… but so far, everytime something new comes out, I get blapped, much like a 3 day old player in a 0.2 security system. They also said that they want to hear good ideas…

Well, I have a good idea. TRANSPARENCY! Try it CCP! Why must this wonderful New Eden of the future be so secret? “Trust me, its going to be great!” is pretty much what you said about blackout, and it doesn’t fly anymore. Give us something to keep playing for… please.

Nonsense. They’ve given new profit opportunities for people who are smart and ambitious enough to exploit them.

“Trust me, its going to be great!” is pretty much what you said about blackout, and it doesn’t fly anymore.

Blackout was great. It’s just unfortunately the case that CCP had to bow to the economic reality that they need the subscription payments from nullsec RMT botters to keep their profits on target.

Was thinking the same thing this morning. Eve unlike the new craze of games is not grab shot gun/jump out of plane. Its unique in that you plan months if not years ahead. Of late it feels like being the mole in a whack a mole game.
Skill up duo to run trig conduits, removed from game.
Ok go back to missioning, bounties rewards nerfed.
Ok try abyssals random killer spawns introduced, isk from t5’s falls off cliff
Skill up 3 characters to mine/ reprocess/ research build and fly the freighter to get things to market bang mining/niarja changes.

Slow things down, gives us some warning, dont make the players feel like the new fish being asked to pick up the soap.
CCp thinks chaos is good , its 2020 if i want fing chaos i go out the front door, perhaps a liitle less chaos in my relaxation time might be nice?

I personally feel…that most normal miners will not touch low sec. Mining ships cannot compete against small gangs. people will just import the ore. Also, personally speaking, the days of hanging out in big fleets and just relaxing chewing up rocks are over. again, personal preference, mining was my relaxation. I think this will continue to stunt the growth of the game. eve Echoes hasn’t brought in players. these changes haven’t brought in players. Why would it? what can newer , or more casual players do ? anyhow. I want to see more than 30k players on during peak. Need to start listening the masses.

So defend them with PvP ships. Or sit in highsec AFK mining the worthless ore that is all AFK players deserve to have. Meanwhile the people brave enough to exploit lowsec will get all of the ISK.

that’s what’s going to happen. You’re not going to see “normal” players do this. IMO. If you love low sec you are loving this. Miners don’t love lowsec. time will tell. Also, can you tell me that the player base has grown? anyhow. thanks for replying

Normal players in a PvP game are the ones who engage in PvP activities (including mining/industry/etc in space where you need to engage in PvP to protect it). Do not pretend that the helpless perma-victims demanding safe AFK farming are in any way “normal”.

Miners don’t love lowsec.

Some do. And the ones who do will get rewarded nicely for it.

Have you tried a battle proc and porpoise fleet yet? Plenty of mining power and plenty of firepower.
While I agree mining ships are lacking in the design part, there are some options that can work.

It would require an ‘umbrella’ to be viable, which would also require other reasons to keep those same players in lowsec, like ratting, and some PvP might follow.

Currently, the only mining I see in lowsec is on valuable moons, as the risk of mining in lowsec is higher than nulsec without that defense. Aside from some very limited level 5 mission activity, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of ratting being done.

It would also have to be more lucrative than the alternatives, in either ISK or some other manner.

Lets’ hope you are right. Let me know when you see an increase in player base.
