Evening!

I have decided to return to Eve after about 10 years absence from the game. I guess we can score one more for CCP marketing department :stuck_out_tongue:

First a bit of history.
I have played the game off and on from the 100 people alpha up to about 10 years ago. I had a couple of “vacations” from the game due to RL duties during that time but my history in game should be quite consistent. I used to be a member of a Swedish corp that used to run with the Firmus Ixion alliance among others back in the days in nullsec. Unfortunately said corp is inactive today and my friends list is full of red dots.

We used to be a very active PvP corp in alliance war but we also had no compulsory events nor fees so people could explore other activities in eve and have time to farm the ISK needed to keep ships up for PvP. This without guilt trips nor sanctions.

So what am i looking for?
Im looking for an EUTZ corp that works similarly to my old corp as described above. So PvP focused, nullsec, but who wont put a gun to my head if i want/need to go farm ISK to keep my garage stocked.

I want to experience the EvE online i used to love over again and the best way to do that is together with other people!

So who am I and what can I offer?
Im a nerd in his 30ies who works as a consultant in the telecoms industry. I live in a nerdy home with a fierce dragonlady and a 3 year old rascal. I have my own ManCave where i have all my nerdy tech stuff, several computers, gaming consoles, walls full of shelves with books on programming, sci-fi/fantasy books, games and much more. The only thing that gets to reside in the livingroom is a nintendo Wii because there be dragons, she knows karate, is deep into “funny week” and i value my continuing good health :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering the time I have been away from the game, you can be sure that I’m no P12 kid who will annoy people with drama.

My skillpoints is mostly invested in Gallente and Caldari where I have most things below capitals skilled up except stuff that was added during my absence. I will of course offer an export from EvEmon if needed.

As i have been away form the game for 10 years I’m quite rusty and out of touch with the current meta of today’s game. So expect having to show me the ropes.

I have full voice capabilities and access to the standard discord etc, so i can be adaptive when it comes to the channels you may be using. However some evenings there may be times when i have to have Mic off for a while, as i dont want to “wake the dragon” so to speak :stuck_out_tongue:

So how active can i be?
I used to be quite active when i played before. However nowadays i have a family and a 3 year old of my own, so i wont be able to be a no lifer on activity but i will be consistent daily on activity as far as possible with exceptions of the time/days family and work will come in between which has to come first. Some weeks this will be worse than others so expect that in advance. Im also an avid gamer and love single player role playing games and strategy games. So whenever a new one is released the amount of EvE hours may temporarily decrease :slight_smile: Im being up front and open about that.

What do i want to know from you?
Having read what i wrote above, why should i choose your corp in front of any of the other candidates thats hopefully responding as well? What sets you apart?

I think you’d fit in well with my corp as we are older guys with jobs and families. We help each other and were all mature and relaxed with no drama. All ops are optional. You can participate as much or as little as you’d like. I ask people to donate what they’re comfortable with to keep our structures fueled but we don’t do mandatory or requirements. Comms are offered but are completely optional. The only thing is, you mentioned nullsec and we live in a wormhole (c2 with HS/c1 statics). Hey, I represent a corp in The Initiative. which is a pvp based alliance within the imperium, we have a fun close knit corp atmosphere and blow ships up as a corp almost daily. We don’t care about elite killboard stats and often lose stupid bling but at least we have fun doing it. Being in the imperium we have access to delve to krab in so you won’t have to worry about making money at all. We don’t have any mandatory PvP but we do like people to try to PVP when their real life lets them. We do focus on being competent PVPers as a corp and our end goal is to be able to call a corp op to achieve an objective and be able to fight with a tighter knit group that can defeat a fleet larger than ours using superior tactics. We have people in corp who build just about anything we need to try to create a completely self sustained corp that doesn’t have to rely on the alliance for ships and content, but still participates actively with them. Hey there! Welcome back to the game! You should consider joining Alwar Fleet, they are the EUTZ heavy corp in the Federation Uprising alliance, a Nullsec/Lowsec PVP alliance based in Pure Blind. They are also one of the most active corps in the alliance, usually taking #2 or #1 spot in terms of kills.

We live in Pure Blind, and are very very PVP focused, just take one look at our killboard if you want to see the kind of action we take part in. We also have fully upgraded systems for mining and ratting to fuel your PVP needs.

We also have various resources for returning players, including channels both on Discord and in game. Speaking of Discord, we use it for fleet pings, general text chat, announcements, command directives, etc, and we use Mumble for voice comms.

We’re a real life first group, and as such we have no strict fleet requirements whatsoever, with the exceptions of CTAs, in which case we ask that you try your best to make it, though of course, real life is still always first.

Thanks for the offers guys!

After researching all of them i decided to go with Alwar as their setup most closely resembles my old Corp, have a good amount of EUTZ actives and ticks all the boxes with Nullsec and lots of PvP besides nullsec with factionwar etc that werent around back when i played last. Very exciting!
