Returning Player immediately Put off playing

James You are not alone thousands of players have dropped this game like a bad habit myself included The only ones left are pretty much trolls expect them to tell you its ok that a developer’s dumb idea f-cked up your 4 years of gameplay. its only ok because these players are f-cking fanboi azsholes nobody likes.

As soon as I saw the notification that xavier69 had posted I thought; “Oh, that guy? He’ll likely be uber-grring”.
Yep.

Ah, see, this is the problem
Your ‘four years of game play’ means you entered at exactly the most lucrative farming moment in the history of EVE, so your baseline is totally wrong. You got used to far too lucrative bounties and mining, never experienced the previous standard, and now believe you are crippled by the changes CCP is doing, rather than realising that it is still more lucrative than most of EVE’s history.

After asking multiple times on multiple threads, I still don’t understand why people who’ve flounced out of Eve continue to flaunt their butthurt on these forums - what do they gain from such behaviour ?

Ah yes - a sort of Nanite Repair Paste for embittered ex-capsuleers…

Is that a HTFU reply?

answer here also

I think your sarcasm detector is broken.
That said, if OP actually stuck around plenty of people gave them good answers on multiple options to recover their stuff very early in the thread.

EVE seems to be the bad habit now more than ever. With all the Hypernet gambling and excessive grind around.

IDK if its been mentioned (I did scan through the thread but totally useless, off topic posts clutter it) but it does seem that by training the Scientific Networking skill one can access jobs many systems away. (Note that it requires Laboratory Operation trained to lvl 4 to access).

I don’t know if that will work exactly (and I have long complained about rather poor explaination of things like skill benefits) but it does seem like there is a ready solution to that inaccessible job problem.

I don’t care…adapt or quit permanently…

Nobody cares that you don’t care. But if you don’t care why post here? Twice? Smells like you care.

For the love of English CCP!

So I have a similar problem (although it does not affect me much as I never was into industry). So I took my own advice and found that I (apparently) also need to train Supply Train Management which requires Mass Production trained to level 4. All this just so I can cancel some jobs remotely. (sigh) I think CCP should create a skill called Email Communications that has no prerquisites that lets you cancel jobs remotely anywhere from level II. FFS

So what happened? Well here is the message I got when I tried to cancel my jobs: You are too far from the faciltiy to modify this job. Your current skills in Supply Chain Management for manufacturing or Scientific Networking for research allow remotely managing up to 0 jumps away.

Someone with adequate English skills really needs to be hired to fix the English used in this game. The above is confusing with the worst part being using “or” instead of “and”. Seems you need BOTH skills to do this simple task.

The fact you can’t do this is a deliberate design, as resourced tied up in jobs can be looted on station destruction. So this forces you to actually get in space during a war if you are miles away, and presents risk.

I am all good with risk taken to acquire goods. However, taking risk just to be able to restart production is a bit much.

At the very least a finished but undelivered job should not count toward your production limit. That way if you want the stuff you still have to go get it. But if you don’t then you can ignore it, like you do a purchase you realize is on the other side of a gate camp.

I did it after training both main skills to level 2 and I could have jobs “delivered” and out of my queue from 10 jumps away and did it without even docking. Training the required base skills to level 4 took some time though

You care about him not caring! If you don’t care, why post? Smells like you care!
