Root causes 2

That is some lame bot fear mongering. And according to himself you can just report them and CCP will ban

To the surprise of noone you lied when you claimed you blocked him:

He may have certain strengths, but intelligence is not among them. Despite being blocked, he continues to reply, which indicates irrational behavior

Speaking of which, Adada Tuesday’s method of “discussion”:

Are you saying Uriel posted that image more often, of a bird like you putting your head into the ground to not listen to other arguments?

In wonder why.

Surely you don’t exhibit this behaviour more often?

Allright im just gonna unblock. Welcome back

Please stay on topic

If this means you’re finally going to listen to reason, glad to be back!

So, did you read about why CCP added market fees in the first place? I shared the link to that devblog earlier.

What did you think about that?

This. If he was genuinely caring for the market and facts about this subject your post would provide sufficient proof why he is wrong. He clearly doesn’t care, he just wants to post spam, nothing else.

HaHaHaHa! He blew his own cover of pretending to block people so as it all fallen apart now he tries to pretend he now unblocks as he can’t help himself from reading those supposed “blocked” posts anyway and replying to them.

If removing listing and modification fees invites a wave of market bots, it’s a small price for better liquidity in New Eden. It wont just be Jita that improves, Hek, Dodixie and even the smaller hubs like Stacmon will come alive again.

There’s not an important difference between listing or modifying an order—which should not be free—and an order actually executing, where a fee makes no more sense.

Thanks for the comment. Everyone’s now dumber

Unlikely. But companies do do that nowadays. They have their forums scanned for complaints, and if you get a critical number of posts complaining about any one thing, it would get flagged for attention/modification. The problem is when a human being never actually takes a look at those complaint posts himself – to see that it’s only one single IP posting them, and when a decision is made solely based on a number of complaints.

In reality there is no problem with market order fees. One IP/person posting 10,000 requests to cancel them only still amounts to 1 single request and that doesn’t mean much.

The thread so far…

Adada : Order listing and update fees make the market slower and less efficient.

Player 1 : No they don’t.

Player 2 : No they don’t

Adada : Order listing and update fees make the market slower and less efficient.

Player 3 : No they don’t

Adada : Order listing and update fees make the market slower and less efficient.

Player 4 : No they don’t.

……..repeat ad nauseum, infinitum, in a never ending eternal loop that is now the modern day equivalent of Sisyphus forever rolling that rock up a hill.

There are many ways to make money because listing and order fees distort the market. However, as this distortion worsen, player enthusiasm drops. If players see the market as unreliable, there’s little reason to log in beyond wanting to grief someone.

For example, with PLEX prices falling, you can buy skins in the NES, then check the market for outdated buy orders that pay more than the ISK value of that PLEX. Since order change fees cause buy orders to update slowly, the opportunity for quick profits are common.

While the listing and order change fees results in such inefficiencies all over the place and you can make a lot of ISK fast and easy exploiting it, over time it undermines the game itself. Peace.

Are you done talking about it, or is there more to come?
