Sawdeth Ternius for CSM 20 - One Chance for One Universe

Greetings, Pilots. This is my very first ever CSM campaign.

I started out in EVE Online in Autumn of 2011 at the suggestion of a former co-worker from a former business I used to work for, I wasn’t too serious about his claims about EVE Online at the time until I did my research online, gotten the Commissioned Officer’s Edition box at my local Gamestop, which I still have to this day, and I haven’t looked back ever since.

My Expertise on said subjects

  • Planetary Interaction - Besides looking in awe of New Eden’s most beautiful celestials and yet overlooked by some, I am a big supporter of PI Colonies not only for extracting resources from the ground up, as a Colonial Owner, where are my neighbors in this wonderful community? I would like to shake things up on a magnitude that gives interesting parties a look and possibly do something from orbit, if you know what I mean.
  • PvP - I’ve dealt with fleet fights, Faction Warfare, and heck even I screwed around in lowsec areas where I really shouldn’t have. Knowing a few meta tips and tricks, there has to be a motivation as to why should anyone join your fleet?
  • The FPS Element - I’ve played all sorts of First Person Shooters going on 24 years now, been a closed beta tester for Dust 514 in 2012 all the way until TACNET shutdown, what I can bring to the table is that there’s a LOT of PI Colonies sitting around and what we can do about that by giving players the chance to actually defend your colonies.

What sets me apart from others?

  • I have a detailed understanding of First Person Shooters by far that I know of.
  • I am independent as far as other topics are brought, as I have friends in nearly every sec.
  • I have 23 and a half years of FPS Gaming experience as a player. Looking forward to playing.
  • I am a Landscaper by profession, I like to tidy things up a bit when things get messy.

Why should I be on the CSM?

I am at a point in my life where I should experience things that only come once in a lifetime and EVE Online has been going strong for going on 22 years, I don’t want to miss out. All I am asking is for one chance to do something very productive.

What is to be expected from me?

  • I am a very social and easy to get along with.
  • I have contact points that can benefit firsthand knowledge of the game that can be looked at.
  • I’m willing to sacrifice my time to assist you about which direction this ship goes to the barebones in detail.
  • Someone who has goals to enhance the FPS Experience with PvEvP at the helm of the ship called EVE Online.

What changes do I want to see happen?

  1. The PI Colonial Changes - Since we have a unprecedented amount of Planetary Colonies that are currently undefended by any means of attack. Well, I see other options that I like to persuade things to actually give us players the opportunity to either send in some boots on the ground or send in a salvo from orbit. Only way to be sure.
  2. New Available Missions - When was the last time that we had new missions placed in game? I want to minimize the chances of receiving repeated details of missions offered from NPC’s and what not.

Since I am also skilled mostly into Industry in my earlier days in EVE all those years ago, thus explaining some things. However I decided to add a “Fourth” area of expertise and THAT my friends is Mining.

Now I know what some are thinking about me touching the subject of mining, and have your attention for a split-Mercoxit moment, I’d want to address some ideas I’d like to see implemented in game involving WH related Moon Mining and some randomized ores scattered across all of Wormhole space.

What causes us players to turn away from the space pick to space guns instead is those who want to mine away high end ores like between r32 and r64’s from moon goo a reason to mine any Wormhole rocks in general. Honestly, what do you think about getting a prize from a difficult rock you’ve mined your hard work and you miner deserve a slight prize for doing so.

I propose, at some point down the road, an idea to what I’ve stated above.

I’ll update you if there’s other matters that I’ll place on my platform.

Hello Sawdeth Ternius, first of all good luck with your campaign :flexed_biceps: …and may the best will win ofc :sports_medal:
(I will great every candidate this way  )

Hope you find time to share your thoughts on below topics and game ideas.

1. EVE Vanguard
Have you had an occasion to try it during Operation Nemesis or earlier? What was your impression if any?

What do you think about bidirectional connection planned with EVE Online? Do you see it has a potential to attract more players towards New Eden? And do you think Capsuleers will benefit from it?

2. Information & ISK itemization
How about being able to take a notes from your notepad and put it as an item into container or ship cargo? Same with an amount of ISK? Just like you can do with PLEX.

Would you pitch CCP to consider implementing it?

3. Production Plans
Basically the idea behind this is to bundle all the BPOs (BPCs), required to produce some final product, say, an assembled Drake fully fitted according to some saved fit ready for duty, into a single BPO-like item, and internally arranged into an intricate production workflow. Complete with logistics tasks, if necessary, using delivery corp projects. It could use BPMN diagram editor to arrange.

When installed into industrial job slot it will churn out those Drakes, provided there are required materials in linked containers or pause until they are become available again.

Would you pitch CCP to consider implementing it? Or at least expand ESI to allow 3rd party developers to do it?

Yes, I have done Operation Nemesis and Solstice for EVE Vanguard. I do plan on attempting to implement these methods you’ve mentioned by far. However I do see one possible issue with the last request in terms of production.

I like the idea of spitting out Drakes or any T1 ship from the assembly lines left and right via BPO/BPC, having an editor open all the time in the target system where industry is used and depending on said skill level, said editor should deviate or degrade depending on how far out as in system counts you go. I’d like to give this idea to CCP about this.

These implications won’t immediately take effect, if considered. CCP has the final say on where these ideas go and what not. I hope this somewhat answers your question.
