What? Docking and tethering rights doesn’t change anything about that outlaws always were attackable by players.
I guess, I’m just puzzled by them saying there is an issue of “Shortage of legitimate player targets in high security space” and they address it by making it even harder to PvP in highsec with the options we have available.
Now that I read the whole thing again, maybe they mean that the suspect flags for Abyssals results in more targets? Haven’t really gotten into Abyssals, so not sure what the current behavior is.
/ Also I know the workaround already and use to help a -10 before I came to meet the Princess
(Pilot with positive security status sets up a POS with bubble places t2 cats in space inside bubble then forcefield psswd is given to the -10 they warp to the POS and obtain a ship then start bouncing.)

They would need to decrease the safe logout timer resulting in extra hardware changes to achieve the clone save state. Ie 15 seconds. down from 30. But needs a guarantee.
Yes… it is called griefing…
And nowhere did I say the patch was impacting this. If you knew how to read, you would see I was just answering your claim about no one griefing new players.
I have this link in my Favorites I kindly share to the mudafakaz doing the griefing when I see them, and suggest the players to raise a ticket against them if they got caught in the bait.
Inability to dock only kicks in once a character is outlaw. Additionally, tether only stop in 0.5 systems once a character reaches -4.5. So there’ll be plenty of opportunities for a multibox fleet to be setup correctly before these mechanics kick in.
Additionally, as before, multibox ganking was a thing in the past, prior to tether.
Multibox ganking has always required a lot of planning, preparation and coordination between characters. “Hoping” has never been part of that play. It won’t be after this change either.
Gank fleets will still be effective with the characters at -10 sec status. They don’t need to use tags to gank. -10 is a badge of honor and it was before tether existed.
Really. “Literally” everything other than freighter ganking requires buying tags now?
That’s a pretty easy contention to prove is wrong.
What tag issue?
There’s 217 systems, with 2209 asteroid belts that can contain tag rats. How many of those rats are being farmed now?
We have no clue, but with the number of tags on the market, it doesn’t seem like all that many (and that’s going back through historical number of tags on the market).
Aside from that, tags still won’t be necessary for the “professional” ganker, aside from the Nado/Talos station gankers - who already use tags and won’t really have any change to their current play through these adjustments.
So what? You can still keep a freighter/orca/bowhead bumped for 3 minutes before autowarp applies. THREE gooddamn minutes! If you are unable to warp your ganksquad on top of such a floating elephant within 3 minutes you simply are an amateur and do not deserve to gank that target in the first place.
Oh no. The poor 20-account massive multiboxer, his content is hurt. Know what: Mass multiboxing is a cancer that has made eve worse and should be completely nerfed into the ground. Not only ganking, also MassMiners, MassRatters, or MassWhatever. Go all quit the game, the regular players will enjoy it much more without seeing their belts beeing squeezed out in minutes by one guy with 20 hulks or their ships being ganked by one guy with 20 damagedealers.
-10 ganking doesnt need tags. And everyone else just have to calculate the new costs into the equation and pick higher value targets. So more people are just left alone and only the gloriously blinged (cargo or fit) are ganked. Fine change.
I’m sure this update is a non issue. I’ve seen enough gankers ltao and eating pop-corn anytime there was a nerf to pve or mining, and telling miners to calm down and adapt. So I’m sure, even if this thread is 650+ already, no gankers are mad at this update.
And I did obviously meant suicide ganking their rookie ships or free frigates they get from career agents.
As that is the only thing that the upcoming changes can fix assuming that players who were doing it, did it with alpha clones. If they did it with omegas, well this tether and docking ban is annoying, but won’t change anything - those systems cannot have citadels anyway, neither are any citadels at the gates leading from/to these systems.
high sec its the security space with less kills and most of them its corvetes. I dont care about high sec suicide ganking in alpha accounts, its never exist before alpha accounts come live so…
That is not worth it. The moment you board the ship facpo timer to arrive will start and they can shoot from POS (didn’t test, someone claimed it in this thread or another thread related to these upcoming nerfs).
So it is better to just undock from station. This is normally a quite problematic for anyone who multibox 10+ ships as before he can undock last the first loses the invulnerability timer BUT since apparently scripting is legal now and everyone does it, we can do it too and just undock all alts within 3 seconds using EVE-O and macro with delay commands. Or just straight up input broadcast. And if GMs by any chance investigate we just tell them we are using pedals or whats-not and its gonna be okay.
I felt the sharp end of that stick many times over the decade or so I have played…
However…
It doesn’t make the stick less blunt when you are a new player AND THE ONLY PLACE you can sell is Jita AND IT’s camped by 20 Cata’s - 19 of which are ALP{HA.
It’s a CCP Thing at the end of the day, driven by the fact that all new players are drawn to Jita DEFACTO.
I fully agree - there are video’s on youtube of some of the best gankers out there… My single question tho will always remain - How does this improve the game, and second, how do those guys actually “Help” anyone they kill - I mean - FAR TOO busy ALT-Tabbing thru 20 screens…
