Security status effects tethering

All it has done is have me move my gank alt to my Omega account from Alpha…which ironically means it can be trained to level V on skills that you cant train on an Alpha. So, thanks to all the carebears I will be a higher DPS, better turret tracking, and better range ganker !

Or… As seems to be the case…

Simply NOT login.

Did you forget to swap alts or something?

LOL so many lies in single sentence.

  1. you can sell your stuff everywhere, if you are new player and you joined corporation for newbies as everyone told you then surely the corp managment has some buyout program you can use - you will save time hauling it and you won’t risk anything. There is even public buyout from any station in highsec for Jita -10%. But still you can sell your stuff anywhere, I sold all items I looted while doing career missions in the career system itself. You can put any of your stuff on the market for your own price, you don’t have to sell to the buy orders.

  2. Nobody is multiboxing alpha clones for ganking. And even if someone was by any chance doing it, which is against EULA if you don’t know and thus bannable, nobody is ganking with 10+ catalysts at Jita.

If you are new player you better cease commenting on a subject you know absolutely nothing about.

It is exactly the opposite.

Multiboxers will remain, since 1 player can easily avoid the new changes, not a fleet of different players.

-10 gankers are not going to risk failing a highly valuable and mobile target and they will just keep dunking ventures and barges/orcas because they know that when undocking they are going to have a succesful gank.

Pos sec gankers on the other hand will suffer from the tag prices.

Who is going to win?: old veteran players in blingy mobile ships.

Who is going to lose?: rookies in barges.

Exactly the opposite CCP preachs to be protecting… who is giving them advice? Mike Azariah? the guy who never ganked?

Yes which beats the purpose as it is actually slower than just undocking, but OK I see one benefit of using POS.

That part seems to be referring more towards the abyssal changes.

As is their choice.

Not going to lie, this has me thinking again if maybe cryo sleep for now is good and to return at a later date.

CCP already basically murdered my playstyle once. Since coming back, I have re-invented myself again and continue to do as I please.

And yet, although I do not gank often, I see the writing on the wall. The hilarious thing is, the crybears and CCP think going this route will save EVE.

It will not.

Killing player agency is never a good thing. Killing the ability to craft your own memories and stories is never a good thing.

No one ever remembers almost dying in a lvl 4 mission. No one will ever tell that story.

But you’ll tell the story of how you narrowly avoided death. Or even how you didn’t, but you went out covered in glory, secure in the knowledge that the fight was a good one.

MMOs are memory makers and story tellers. But only when it has real reward or real risk.

Without that, it is a pale imitation of what it could be.

You think this is a good change. It is not. It is the first whisper in the real actual death of EVE. The soul of EVE.

You say why Gix, so much melodrama. Maybe. However, this is backed by 27 years of online gaming, with that breath of years covering most MMOs released.

I have seen how this plays out before. Now all suns set. All empires die. Maybe it is EVE’s time.

The thing is, it didn’t have to be.

These changes encourage going after higher value targets and not low value ones. Meant to shift ganking towards more valuable options rather than eliminate it which seems a good thing.

Again, reason for the 3rd Option is needed for repairing the Security status.

I strongly push notification to have a faction based tag introduced that is produced via tier 4 lowsec PI planets. Treat it as a on a timer once used. (note not on drugs or part of the new eden drug booster market)

Those who disagree come forward and state your debate!

Venture/barge/orca gankers can keep dunking them as usual, the rookie the better.

Ganking marauders, orthus, stratios, jackdaws, hecates… gets punished by the new mechanics since you can not redock if the target is out of range when arriving. FacPo is there to hunt -10ss like always and gankers can only redock in pods, therefore the ship is lost once you click undock.

Tags are already skyrocketing which is the opposite you would do in order to encourage high value ganking.

I do not see how the new measure is going to protect “rookies from evil griefing”, quite the opposite.

the the so called eevol gwankers will bring a Bowhead to the gank just in case

Exactly how does FacPo interact with ship ejection? You mentioned (I think) that you can’t eject because of FacPo but I don’t understand why that is (because I am ignorant of the mechanics of being -5 and below).

No one was ever really going after “low value” targets seriously.

For every venture that was lulzganked, 10 marauders burned.

I dont know what to tell you aside from this take isnt really logical. Going after lerss valueable targets will in the long run only hurt you instead of provide profit as the tags go up which is also an anticipated part of this. Its also a reason I doubt they will do anything to change tags. Sure going after low value targets is easier…but only until you have to fix your sec status enough times that you get annoyed by it or run out of cash.

Facpo hunts actively -10ss gankers. The -10SS ganker can not remain in space except for a few seconds. If the -10ss ganker ejects from his ship, the ship is destroyed anyway.

With the new changes once a -10ss ganker undocks in his ganking ship, the ganking ship can be considered lost. As consequence the gankers who were already dunking ventures/barges/orcas will keep doing the same as usual since the gank is almost always a success.

However the gankers who try to move from ventures/barges/orcas towards more challenging targets like marauders/stratios/t3s ships… gets discouraged with the new mechanics because these more challenging targets are very mobile or behind acc.gates which increases the probability of failing to warp on top of the target. Therefore every failed atempt means a set of ships lost to FacPo.

I dont see how this changes can help to avoid “rookie grieifng”, quite the opposite.

They definitely were though. It was/is quite prevalent out of boredom.

Not really.

Most gankers I know, and I know some of the best, mainly go after HVTs in high sec with lulz thrown in on the side.

The myth of large alpha cata fleets are just that, myths.

98% of people dying to ganks are crybears with poor game sense.

The gankers hunting miners are doing it for fun, not for isk. It has been like this since day 1 in EVE online.

A rookie in his venture has 0% space awareness, he is going to die to a ganking atron almost 100% of the time after the new changes. The gankers dunking miners will keep doing the same unaffected by the mechanics. The big ganking alliances even have SRP at least for t1 catalysts, they can keep ganking miners until the end of EVE.

However the gankers who go for high risk targets will lose their ships every time they fail a target since they can not redock. and the pos sec gankers will have to deal with ultra expensive tags (more than 40m per negotiator tag right now).

If these measures are designed to protect veteran players and their billions, ey, good movement CCP. But CCP claims to be protecting rookies with the new changes and this is veeeeery far from the reality.

yes

i think the alpha red safety ban was ethnic cleansing

to me, CCP doesn’t want people trying a gank with an alpha, so in the future will be less gankers
