I didnt say large catafleets, a single caty is enough for ventures… well or were I havent looked at them in a long time. And I dont know what to tell you man ive had alot of lets say less wealthy miner friends get blown up and they were not very valueable.
That is subjective and determines what is “valuable”.
You also are not looking at the larger picture or hte meta.

As for me, I base my opinion off the regular KMs I see posted in Why Was I Ganked. It isn’t mining ships. Its blinged out ships bringing in billions.

then the cat would need a faction scram and a second scram… but the fit is such then the venture has enough time to warp
That’s why I like using cormies to kill ventures

Some people, we won’t name names here, enjoying ganking for the sake of ganking and will gladly throw away isk just for the opportunity to do it.
I mean, it’s not that hard to swipe a credit card and buy 500 plex.
That buys a lot of catalysts and if needed in a pinch, tags (but tags aren’t that hard to procure in nature anyway)

Long ago, there was no ganking. It was all called griefing. There was no concord. So, I bragged about being a griefer. Turns out, I wasn’t that bad of a sod. I didn’t hunt down the defenseless. I only gave one alpha volley just to test the fit. Pissing off the player who had to pay for repair back then. Everyone was still learning at that point.
Now we either have bots or experts. New players are just a cash cow?
Tbh I only known one confirmed griefer since I came back.

I am looking at the larger picture and valuable isnt really subjective its objective in terms of financial value. In fact thats one of the most objective things you can reference…

in games in general we call ganking any attack on other player that leaves him no chance if fighting back
it’s just in EVE that people invented more names for the same thing based on the sec, but it’s still a gank overall… but eve has the suicide gank too
They’re only skyrocketing because people are buying up the cheapest and either hoarding them, or planning on reselling them late. The market will stabilize at a higher price for a while, then probably drop back down to what it is now after enough people either stop this fashion of ganking, or they find a new method.
It’s not like many people ganking highsec anyways. It’ll maybe drive 10-20% of people away from ganking, the rest will do what they always say people should do and adapt

Why would you be hunting ventures in lowsec in anything other than a bomber? Or even just an Astero? It’s so easy to get the drop on them. Or you could hunt things other than ventures, you know.
