I pretend I’m a fellow miner, get up close to them, then warp my Comet right on top of them. Worked well with the Empire ore anoms around Athounon. Mining for the State never felt so good. Battle Herons would work well too.
Thank you. I knew about FacPo hunting players with sec status of -5 or less, but I did not know they would shoot a ship you had ejected from and were not actively piloting.
Another trash change in a long string of trash changes. Imagine that there is a pvp game where pvp constantly gets nerfed or content removed. Well wait we don’t have to imagine this such a game exists right here. This affects way more than just gankers. What about people that want to go on a roam in low sec? I guess no doing that anymore because you might not be able to dock when you decide to come back. Ccp caving into whiners yet again.
I am glad that CCP finally did this, however I would make a single change to this, simply that -10’s can dock in their own alliance or corp structures.
As I have said previously in this thread I do not agree with blocking docking access to structures.
Tethering was a major issue and removed AG counter play, some AG hunters have got their gameplay back, maybe they will start playing again, who knows? This is fun, you scan down the gankers get on them and point, you can start whittling down their fleet and have an impact. It was pretty sickening to see fleets of gankers sitting on tether AFK for hours and not being able to do a damn thing about it.
With this change people who are being targetted by scouts can chose to try to run through quickly, or can hang around to tire out the gankers who are having to warp around the place. Enabling decent counter play for AG at last.
CCP finally did something about the consequences and that makes me happy.
Do they just stay in limbo until the criminal timer runs out if podded, and then respawn in their home station?
That doesn’t feel like very good gameplay. There’s a lot that a character can do while docked that they wouldn’t be able to do at all if just facing a black screen with a count down timer on it showing how long before they spawn again.
In truth that is a hard one for me too, it was something I never asked for or wanted based simply on the fact that I wanted Alpha players to be able to experience Eve without too much limitation.
I would be interested to see the metrics behind this, I wonder how many people were using massed Alpha accounts to gank, how were they getting around the controls and why CCP were unable to police it?
So take my reply as not being happy with that part too, for me it is perfectly fine for Alpha accounts to be able to gank in hisec.
