Security status effects tethering

Yeah it’s a typical CCP 9000 IQ move. If they don’t play this part of the game one would at least expect they ask someone who understands something about it, if they care at all if their changes have the desired effect.

It is mostly because CCP knows the ganking community can’t handle what is really in the making for high sec, so it is slow cut off with time.

I know everyone here is so smart in the game, you can fix all of CCP issues, and run the business so much better than they can, you are all awesome wow!!!

JJ

It’s funny that you think that all gankers do is gank 24/7.

Oh really, you think it’s not incompetence but they are actively misleading because we can’t handle it?

This may be controversial, so maybe sit down or something: I don’t care about CCPs business.

I totally agree!

EXACTLY

Most can’t handle this change if you even want to call it that, it is a good first step thought.

Not controversial, but proves all points made above, if you don’t understand how a game needs to make money to be healthy or care about it, then essentially you are saying you don’t care about the game, maybe CCP has realized that from the group.

lol too funny, like others on here, high and mighty… don’t worry you will be able to fill your ego somewhere else once you have successfully run your carebear land game play in the ground.

JJ

Not all games. Checkmate.

LOL. As long as there is another player in there, it is PvP.

Scared of null? I’ve lived in null bruv

So is “Real PvP” 100+ ships to kill 1 thorax?

How is that any different from ganking?

I am a customer my guy. You have a child’s understanding of this genre and this game.

The terrifying thing is, CCP is listening to you and your ilk.

Except what you don’t get is these changes you want actually won’t keep the game alive.

EVE’s PvE alone isn’t enough to keep it going. The PvE and ISK were only ever a means of production to keep you in ships to keep getting blown/blow up. Once that’s gone, you will see hyper inflation/deflation and droves of people departing.

Oh? EVE was designed for people like me. Hence why people like me have been thriving in it for near 20 years.

EVE’s original devs knew what Britt xroads was my guy, and why it was great. They knew what deceit bone room was. Britt GY. Yew liches.

What’s funny is you think null is the end all, be all of EVE. It isn’t. It is only one component. I get tho that’s why your boy Dark Shines had to go on his hands and knees and absolutely beg daddy CCP to save ya’ll. I wouldn’t be able to look my alliance leader in the face after he just sacrificed his dignity like that, but that’s just me

What’s funny is it doesn’t even take that much. Just basic knowledge of the game, FCing, and ship fitting.

Also it is the moment for HTFU. I’m tired of crybears ruining the game as it was intended. There are tons of happy space farming games.

Go and play those. Leave EVE to those who can actually yennoe, learn how to use simple in game mechanics.

My guy, we know you didn’t live in low

Oh? What is “real PvP”? Could you please define?

Could you also explain the difference between 10 catas killing a freighter and 100+ ships killing a lone thorax in null?

It’s been that way for years sadly.

It won’t LOL.

I love when they tell on themselves

He doesn’t get that, and it is actually kinda terrifying tbh.

Wut. That is literally why people play games.

Sure you were bruv. You don’t have to front  We all know

Wut. There are tons of ways to have fun and risk much less than a 100m. Please learn to EVE kthx.

I miss fighting the Tuskers. I was glad to see them still around. They had some really good pilots back in the day. I loved the rax on rax fights heh.

Oh. So now we’re just straight lying. Cool, cool

Because it wouldn’t be EVE bruv. Fire up NMS, you’ll be fine.

LOL look at the backpedaling! I love when they snitch on themselves

Just say you don’t understand game design

I’m sure it will. You can now undock your bling Hulk again and mine AFK

I’m sure you honestly think you are some kind of genius to figuring out that a business needs to make money.

It’s not my job to tell them how they should monetize the game, nor is it yours. I’m just a gamer looking for an interesting game to play and that is all anyone should care about. Over the top cash shops makes a game less immersive and less fun for me.

And I honestly don’t see how EVE gets any better by making it constantly more boring. So far this doesn’t seem to work out for them. But hey, why not try the same thing again, maybe this time it will have a different outcome.

I don’t even know what that means.

I don’t even play EVE right now. But if I get the itch again to dunk some miners that will probably still work. If not, I will play something else and give my money to another company.

Post with your main and I’ll be more than happy to continue this discussion. Until then, remain irrelevant.

Stay irrelevant,

Yennoe, the alts and sock puppets be getting crazy recently.

I just can’t fathom it. This is my only main and only dude.

People can be confident that the Gix Firebrand they see here and in game are the same person. If you manage to kill me, yes, you got the real Gix.

Has my mouth stopped me getting into a corp? Not really. What’s funny is most corps require multi-boxing now, which is what stops me

I just like flying around and blapping folks with people who are cool and willing to burn in space alongside me.

I’m one of the dudes who will always answer the call out, whether we living or dying. Hell, last night I was the only one of three dudes who answered the callout to a group of 15 reds at SSC

We managed to kill about 5 of them, which is pretty damn impressive if I say so myself, considering they had 5x our number.

So where is this all going you say? Quite simply, most of us “ebil gwankers, low sec pirates, suspecting baiting, ebil people” are simply built different than you crybears.

We enjoy the risk, the danger and the pixels blowing up. More than that, we understand the game and learn it inside and out, because if we don’t we know someone will use that knowledge to kill us.

The thing is, nothing is stopping you from becoming this way. Simply knowledge and perspective.

EVE should be a game of real danger, real risk and real rewards. Those shiny things in your hangar? Only worth it because you know you’ve kept them by the skill of your hands and wit of your mind.

You always could have stopped the gankers in a way. I outlined how to clearly. And yes. It takes work. It takes effort and planning and even sacrifice to an extent.

Anything worth it does. However, like sheep and wolves, you always want gankers so you can continue to stop them.

Instead of choosing that route, which would be playing the game to the hilt, playing it as it was meant to be played and truly being an actual living, breathing part of the game, you decided to cry to daddy CCP.

To create lies and fabrications about “saving the nubs”.

That shame squarely lies with you. Now I know you’re thinking, wow that’s a bit harsh eh ole Gix buddy? I don’t think so tho.

You literally had the tools in game to handle these matters. Instead of choosing that route, you went outside the game to seek to change the rules, instead of learning how to play within them to win.

In the end, yes it is just a game. And now you crybears will have to live with the fact that you couldn’t handle. That’s on you bruv

Also disclaimer, the above statements are obv not aimed at Axl.

These “failure to communicate” threads are interesting. Just for a change of pace, let’s call the victim a Grinder and the ganker a Fighter.

The Fighters see endless numbers of zombie-like Grinders in the game and they go out and try to wake them up to a more interesting way of playing the game.

The Grinders view the Fighters as incarnations of pure evil, because they stop them from grinding for even a few minutes.

The Fighters respect the Grinders at some level, acknowledging them as humans and trying to chat with them after the gank, with a “good fight” in local.

The Grinders just continue on, oblivious to the reality that a game that is called Everyone versus Everyone is not meant to be a solo, semi-AFK mining and hauling simulator.

This is indeed the crux of the issue.

Too many people want out-of-game god-like authority figures to grant them special in-game powers and/or god-like immunity, rather than using their own two hands to create the sense of justice they want to see in the universe using the same tools available to everyone else.

Yep. I blame this on the lack of good fighting games

I grew up on SF 2. See, I like fighting games. 1v1. If you lose, you absolutely know you got outplayed.

In the end, people nowadays can’t deal with losing with grace. So they seek to change the rules instead of putting in the work to get better. Its sad man.

Every single death I’ve had in EVE has been my fault and something I could have prevented but I got outplayed or simply stuck.

Some have just been yeeting ships into the void but that’s always fun

That’s the nice thing about my corp. we are all solo pilots. No insane multiboxing nonsense. I mean hell, I have a hard enough time keeping track of Ax’l. I don’t want to add more. It just becomes a job. And I already have one of those. Stamping license plates in the prison I’m serving in.

Well, when [Redacted] bragged that [insert pronoun here] over 100 omega alts, and countless alphas, [insert pronoun here] has an endless supply of sock puppets at [insert pronoun here] disposal. It’s sad really. Even more sad is that [insert pronoun here] truly believes that [insert pronoun here] is fooling people. And worse it really just goes to show how stupid [insert pronoun here] thinks about the rest of the people that use these forums.

The new generation of crybears are used to having everything handed to them with little to no effort or sacrifice. CCP is pandering to this new crowd. It’s not about the heart of the game anymore. It’s about short term profit gains. And they will be really short as these people have extremely short attention spans and are easily offended.

This is how they learned to deal with adversity and difficulty. They cry until someone else steps in and removes it for them. And they love it when other people step in and claim they are victims. They don’t have to be accountable at all, nor do anything.

It’s not harsh. They may think it is, but it’s not. A product of their up bringing.

They may think they have won the battle, but they know, deep down, that they lost. That they couldn’t handle the difficulty. That they needed someone to step in and make it easy for them so they don’t have to deal with adversity or anything difficult. And they get a participation award. The real nail hitting their already shot self esteem.

Sad that this has to be added. I know ya, and know that we are pretty similar in our outlook on this game. I’m just not as hip on the terminology!

Yep, one char is enough. I do have 3 on the account, one is a miner and one is a hauler that I had to train separately back in the day because I was a dyed in the red -10 low sec ebil pirate

These peeps know nothing about having to remind your corp mates over and over that the badger that’s about to jump thru is your alt so please don’t blap him

Then sometimes still getting shot at

Or belt mining with guns and making your own ammo/ship parts

I got Thorn, my main. I use him for tons of things as I get bored with the same activities over long periods of time.

When I was -10, I used a hauling alt (slot 2 on my account) to bring in ships to low. And I’ve used her for opportunistic pop shots on MTU’s I find along the way as well

The third, I don’t use much. Sometimes I use him to run level 3 missions (I don’t have BS trained for him. Just tact-dessy) or hunt down MTU’s and blap them. Sometimes I run anom in both high and low.

But as a role player, it’s too hard to run multiples. So I mostly stick to Thorne so I can participate on the role play channels more eaisly.

But each tag for -2.5 to 0.0 status actually covers between 12 and 15 ganks ( it varies )…so really the price increase from 20m ISK to 50m ISK needs to be divided by 12 or so for each gank…so a 30m price increase divided by 12 means an increase of a mere 2.5m ISK per gank !

Anyone who thinks that is gonna stop gankers is sorely mistaken. For the average T2 Catalyst its about a 10% increase in the cost of ganking. Most of the cost being the Concord fee. Sorry to disappoint all the anti-gankers but a 10% increase in the cost of ganking ( for those who stay within -2.5 status ) is barely going to make any difference at all.

Sure, and we jump the wh into random hghsec and we find plethora of juicy targets here just like that. We are often waiting for worthwhile (because it is griefing otherwise) target for hours in the systems with high density of players and high traffic.

Thinking you just stage from wh, jump to highsec and it will be:

  • system where ganking is actually possible for your scale of operation (ie. it is 0.5 or 0.6)
  • system where are targets you can kill based on the scale of your operation again (ship class /size)

is very naive.

This is just nonsense, nobody will do that. Some will stage from lowsec or nullsec the rest will stage from highsec and will just waste the ships on some random rookie if his intented target gets away. And some will just give up as the annoyance level of these changes is too high to bother with.

btw yes I remember there was a ganker staging from Thera, but he didn’t last long doing that and Thera has multiple highsec connection every day, not just one and they are documented so you don’t have to scan dozen of signatures. There is also an npc station so you don’t have to worry about wh citadel bashers. Still not a good choice.

Clone Soldier Negotiator Tag is for -2 to 0… roughly 185 mil isk to fix this and it’s like 10 ganks or less

people will have to reanchor stations for insta warping the blob to the gate or to something
