This is good to have for low-sec pirates, not so much for full time gankers.
iIt is still very slow to increase security status this way even with the skills maxed (I have fast talk at 4 myself but it is not worth to pve really)
when you are ratting you cannot gank, I am here for PvP, doing PVE for 2 days so I can gank one day is not a gameplay I am interested in
it needs npcs with huge bounties, so at the very least lvl4 missions, but prefferably you want to do it in lowsec/nullsec which not every ganker has an access to (npc null is too scarce on combat anoms, lowsec is too dangerous if you arenât friend with local pirates - as you will have to do lvl7+ anoms for a long time to make it worth and ideally you want to use Enforcer/Marshall to maximize the efficiency)
The best option is to farm the clone soldiers yourself, be it with the ganker toon or with alt. This is fastest option beside just buying them on market as you get some security status from ratting and you also get tags to use.
But sure if someone actually likes to do lvl4 missions, then the Fast Talk really helps. It also is more suitable option if you gank in 0.6/.05 where you donât lose as much sec status as in higher systems and you will run into the issue of being outlaw much slower/less often. The small problem might be that if you wait till you are outlaw in 0.5 already then you cannot rat in highsec at all and must go to ls/ns at least till you get above -4.5.
still this stupid tag-discussion? Their prices are almost back to pre-patch levels, so what big doomsday-problem are you guys talking about? The market is already regulating itself, as predicted.
What I find really amusing is the thought of all those anti gankers who bought up tags hoping to deprive gankers of them and elevate the prices and make a profit out of it allâŚwho have just landed themselves with a load of 60m ISK tags that are now worth 30m ISK and falling.
Such a project would only work if the Anti-Gankers would be willing to invest billions and keep feeding ISK to the market to keep it running, probably many hundred million per month.
They would need to check the average price over the last year and then place BuyOrders like 50% or 100% above that last years average to make sure the price cannot fall below these BuyOrders.
So yeah, some rich bittervets could probably do it just for the fun of it, or a Corp like NEPF could also do it (financed via their âProtected Abyssal Runsâ), the question is, are they willing to burn this money to raise the Tag prices? Because they would of course need to store (or even trash) the tags, not re-selling them if they really want to prevent ganks.
I bought tags but for our own needs, have for a long time, just about to use some as my e-war burst alt is getting a bit low, donât know anyone who bought them from AG, more likely cut throat traders and market manipulators doing that.
Thereâs a crazy variation in tag prices across EveâŚall one needs is a fast align Sunesis and one can make a killing. 24m ISK in one systemâŚ60m ISK a few systems away. And most expensive at the actual Concord Bureau. One can make 30m ISK per tag if played correctly.
Itâs not a true sandbox without social consequences of actions. For instance, you murder someone then you go to jail. Hence why CCP made these changes. You want to kill in high sec, you wonât be able to dock and are a target for everyone. Real consequences of actions, and the ganking ends pretty quick.
I quite agree. And one such consequence is being ganked for mining in someone elseâs asteroid belt. Unless you can bring a fleet do defend your claim to itâŚit belongs to whoever can exert power over it.
No I donât agree, carving out an area of space should be possible, the natural progression should be start building your group in high become successful, want more move to low then null.
obviously the isk potential gets higher as does the risk but there should be a way for groups to compete in high but unfortunately the only real choice to protect your assets is to gank. It should be wars but they are not fit for purpose
There is no jail in EVE. Get a grip, itâs a video game. No one is actually harmed at all.
Wrong on both accounts. If you are an outlaw, whether you kill in highsec or not, you canât dock. Characters that kill in highsec can actually dock just fine, only not as outlaws when in a ship.
As with every change, people adapt or die. As it should be.
