Seed titans and supers

Everyone has gotten bored of the test server, no one wants to play it anymore because they either cant have fun or have already tested everything, so I propose this as a one time thing to allow everyone to try the faction titans , titans and super carriers. Bring life back to SISI or even seed faction and officer modules.

Seed the things that many other people consider most damaging to the fun on and purpose of Sisi?

I would like to try one - for fun - but I accept that having them wide spread on sisi would not be a good idea. Perhaps it could be limited by only seeding them in one or two places, and not allowing them the usual travel - maybe hold them in one region. I started trying to build one now on sisi to play with, but i dont think i will be able to get industry index high enough for the super cap infrastructure upgrade, and of course, even if I do, the remirror may happen before the construction completes…

This conversation comes up from time to time, and it speaks to a common misunderstanding of the purpose of Singularity. While we have no problems with people using the server to try out ships and modules that they are interested in, we need to emphasize that this is not the purpose of the server.

Singularity and any other test servers we give players access to are maintained by us for one purpose: To test out new or updated features/systems/items and how they interact with existing features/systems/items. And when we say test, we mean find bugs and other unforeseen issues.

This is why, for example, when we significantly updated Supercarriers and Titans, we gave them out to everyone on the server, but otherwise they are not available.

We hugely appreciate anyone that spends time on Singularity testing out new things, providing bug reports and feedback. That being said, it’s purpose isn’t to entertain people. TQ is for fun, Singularity is for making sure the changes that make it to TQ are as bug/issue free as possible. I hope this clear things up for you.

Fly safe and thanks again for all your bug hunting!

Edit:

Try out the “/boostsov” command, I think it will help you out , more useful command can be found here.

Thank You @CCP_Lebowski much appreciated.

I do realise that SISI is for testing, and I do try to take part in a reasonable number of mass tests. (That is how I have enough skills to build a supercap). Sometimes however, its nice to do something plain daft

[/quote]And how do you expect people to do that on short notice when they cannot fly ships that are normally used on Tranquility, like supers and titans? Aren’t you making your own counter-argument here @CCP_Lebowski ?

There are several tests that require the use of supers and titans to be realistic, yet you intentionally limit their availability on the test server. That seems counter-productive.

Could you give me an example of a feature where flying a supercarrier or titan would help with finding bugs?

Fighter reconnect?

Sorry just sticking my nose in where it doesn’t belong.

If fighter reconnect was added to the game it could be tested with Carriers, which are seeded on the market

I’d love to break the AoE Doomsday weapons.
Those are sadly only fitable on Titans afaik and I’d love to have a Perma-AoE-360°-Doomsday Titan.
But I cant break it if I dont have access to them.

Now is that a good thing that I have no access or not?
I dont know.

This is a good example, and if you remember when we released the doomsday’s and the updated titans, we gave everyone one of each Titan in their redeeming queue

ugh i’m going to have to start building titans and supers on sisi again arnt i
i hate you people

Thank you for telling people exactly what I have been telling them for a year. SISI isn’t to pander to these people wanting to test new fits and try out supercaps.

The short answer here is that there are currently enough people building and using supercarriers and titans to neglect the need for them to be seeded. Anything that might break during updates gets used on a semi-regular basis.

Do we really really need everyone (really, everyone will do it if they can) in supercarriers and titans?

Yes, yes we do!
