No they are not designed for solo roaming either…
The black Ops are designed for doing sudden strikes in Null area with cover ops cyno, which cannot be cyno jammed. They suddenly appear, probably with 20-30 bombers, takes down a carrier and fade away.
They usually do not have good EHP, and especially as Marshall does not have drone bay it is very helpless against smaller ships…
But you could get several lokis or hughins and then web that victor and kill him, and you maybe risk 4-5B isk with the fleet, while he will risk 10B for the ship + the fittings.
That means the victor is just bad.
It does not align properly while decloak and did not pay attention.
Even despite that, this simple thing will kill a type of playing. People might be able to handle huggin/rapier for now, but when, say 5% of the huggin turns into Victor, things are going to be real bad.
And don’t assume only you’d get a fleet.
I believe there are a few black ops AT ships released, I remember seeing a stealth bomber variant. How much more powerful is one of those vs the t2 variant? I argue that it is more powerful, but it does not beat say 3 players in 3 ships. Yes, a 20 man AT frigate fleet would be very formidable, but a 60 man fleet that knows how to pvp could easily be a match for them. This game rewards numbers on your side, and the AT ships will cost too much in a limited resource (remember plex 99% of the time enters the game with real life money purchase) to be simply the new 100+ fleet meta. And if they are used, then true 50,000 USD fights would occur between AT fleets.
Then my argument stands. When they are detected, people with fleet up and hunt them.
They just don’t work like that…
It is not like yeah just bring more people.
They do not have to fight with you when there is a counter on the field.
Most of them are superior in terms of target choosing and the ability to willingly disengage.
I think I should stop here.
Things are going as I predicted in my first post first point. If you are the heavy monetization type of player, we won’t come to an agreement.
I am in favor of monetization, and yes we are likely to not come to an agreement. But I appreciate the discussion.
Yes, and no reason not to make it cost 200 000 PLEX. Plenty of people can afford that price
Please : no. The NES should only be used for cosmetics or services, not to buy ships. That’s literally asking to implement pay to win models…
Even more when we’re speaking about ships as powerful as AT ones.
this is not power creep… power creep would be releasing limited issue OP ships as a paid only obtainable asset.
Perhaps, propose 20,000 then. Remember CCP will know the best price to get the most money, that is the price that would best benefit the game.
It is power creep. Or are we going to argue that a 3 day old newbie in a rifter can defeat a 50m sp PVP character in a jaguar?
It’s pay for advantage, if you have an issue with this gameplay model then you want to petition ccp to remove skill extractors from the NES.
It happens. That is one of the beauties of this game. having the game skills is no guarantee of success.
Then a newbie could beat a veteran with an AT frigate, thus there is no reason why they shouldn’t be introduced. After all a newbie killed a chremoas in an algos, imagine if chremorases could be bought from the NES.
It would be extreme powercreep and P2W. Get this into your thick head. Just because you want to fly one, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to add them for sale in the game.
Still no. For all of the reasons above (and below). With that I’m officially out. Hopefully if everyone else just drops it this thread can drift off to where it belongs.
Very well. I thank you for participating in my thread, it is greatly appreciated.
I don’t see how it would be extreme powercreep. Is all of lowsec going to be AT frigate only? The ships can still be countered and they are not invincible.
