Welcome to EvE. If you don’t know how to move and use it, you shouldn’t be flying it anywhere.
Strong disagree. Interface based lockouts other than capital gating is a bad thing IMO.

.9 and 1.0 systems shouldn’t be immune to ganks…that’s what Rookie systems are for. Please divorce the thought that high sec means you should be safe. ALL SPACE is dangerous. Those systems have NPCs that can totally wipe out players, players can kill each other as well, but aren’t nearly killing as much as NPCs do.
Im not sure why some people act like ganking is a solved issue. I think turning the color of all high sec system into yellow makes sense.
I’m not sure why you think ganking is an issue that needs fixing. Destruction is good for the economy, it’s why we track it in all the Monthly Economic Reports. All of high sec only contributes to <20% of the value destroyed.
The people that get ganked are mission runners, abyssal runners, haulers, miners, industrialists etc. How is that good for the economy?
Items and ships being destroyed creates more demand for them. I’m an industrialist, I like selling items. If these things don’t get destroyed, they won’t sell as fast, their cost will go down. Also, ganking haulers is a means to target null block’s supply lines, not just high sec dwellers. Dead space items would no longer be good finds for explorers and DED site runners, mineral costs would decrease, making mining not as profitable.
It’s pretty easy to avoid being ganked if people actually paid attention to the game. I don’t think the willfully unobservant should be coddled.
You are grasping at straws
Because they need to replace their ships. This means the guys who sell ships make profits. This means they can pay the guys who mine the resources for these ships.
If you don’t want to be ganked, learn how to avoid being ganked. It is really easy and explained a thousand times already. You play a game against other players, be better than them and use the mechanics to your advantage and their chances to actually gank you are pretty pretty small.
Debunk what I say then.
No, your type will just move the goal posts. I would rather discuss this with someone else. Take care
This is a public space, you are just telling everyone that you don’t care enough to present a counter argument to readers. Discussions shouldn’t be avoided. I know that you are likely a lost cause, but I still respond for the sake of others that may be swayed.
People who say ships need to be destroyed are ignoring that new people join the game. They will form the demand for an item or ship that is good but never usually gets destroyed. Reprocessing also makes it so that items and ship maintain value even if they rarely get destroyed.
And old players leave the game and sell their ■■■■ too. These new players might also be miners and increase the supply.
People leave the game at the same rate though (usually out of boredom), so that actually doesn’t increase demand, except maybe for frigates, destroyers, and cruisers…which don’t get ganked.
Reprocessing in of itself is destroying almost 50% of the value by that act alone.
If anything people who have a good item that rarely gets destroyed reduces the supply of that item if they leave the game
By that one item yes, but if they got ganked, they have to buy another and then there is a chance that it’s reduced by 2 when they replace it.
Normally if I have a good item I don’t want to lose, I take steps to avoid getting ganked. When I do get ganked, I instantly know why I did. My last ship that got ganked was because I didn’t use my instadock bookmark when arriving to Jita. If I was paying more attention, I would not have been destroyed.
It’s not a fixed supply. And without demand, prices drop off, and the economy slows way down.
The players that object to 0.9 and 1.0 systems being yellow (suspect) only are the ones that perpetually camp Jita, etc.
Or ones that see why ganking is not a problem in EVE Online. Why do you think that change is needed? Remember, CCP are the ones that need to be convinced, and they have the opinion that it’s not a problem.
Jita isn’t a very good place to gank anyway, CONCORD comes fast there.
