And now - every time I Remove a Bookmark, the entire Folder tree collapses. This gets more like amateur hour after every downtime…

Why as you will not open bookmarks, so all subfolders are expanded, yesterday still everything was normal.

And where did the option to move bookmarks between folders go? And why can’t the bookmarks be unloaded into the cargo now?

This is not great, it basically removes several useful and functional features to add something else.
Besides that, as of right now I have no bookmarks at all, the list just shows a rotating “loading” animation and nothing shows up. Right click shows existing bookmarks but I am unable to make new ones. This is a game braking bug for me and I fear a repeat of the local chat debacle but worse.

the feature is broken, when i try to save bookmarks it automatically collapses the BM list and when i try to delete it is automatically expanding the whole BM list. quite frustrating.

It seems corpmates cannot delete bookmarks anymore and personnal and corp bookmarks folders close and reopen weirdly with all subfolders opened…
When first days of update it seemed to work but today it is very hard to keep corp bookmarks updated. Something got broken today.

As a developer for over 20 years I am fully aware, that publishing new code into a running system sometimes doesn’t work as expected or tested. But. I really can’t believe how many bugs are in this Feature. My Boss would have fired me if I would have deployed alpha code like this to the production server.
Things you could have tested way before pushing the code to TQ:
- Places Window has to be on top and (sub-)folder has to be visible in order to update an opened Group Window properly and reliable when entering new systems
- On first opening, all Folders are expanded, tho the Icon shows as if they are not expanded: The user may think listed BMs under Subfolder-Title are out-of-folder so the user might delete them because of this.
- Dragging from one onlined folder to another (User is BM-creator, all admin roles set) does not work. Which is the most confusing one: I cannot reorganize my Bookmarks? So I have to delete them and make new ones to get them to another folder?
Put some time into improving your quality control would help the whole game and keep frustrations on all sites low.

You can move a bookmark by going into Edit bookmark and selecting a different folder there - cumbersome, but it works.

OK right now it seems to be at least usable opening group window to avoid the close-and-reopen-with-all-folders-expanded “feature”. Now how do I attribute a specific access list to a subfolder? No GUI with options appear when “edit folder”. Sorry but I don’t understand how it is supposed to work…

Happens sometimes, if opening/closing folders in places window. Best workaround: don’t touch places window ever, if you want to rely on opened Group Windows.
The scroll-bar isn’t working in People & Places, Locations - moving the scroll-bar doesn’t move the Labels displayed.
This!!! Every time I undock all the folders are collapsed. When I expand the top level they ALL expand FFS. I then tediously collapse each folder except the one I want … then dock … rinse/repeat.
CCPleeeeaseeee fix this.

Oh my word, didn’t realise u couldn’t drag n drop. What with the unintuitive ACL system & not being told where to find it plus this and the folder expand/collapse problem, it’s made an sort of ok semi-acceptable interface into an exercise in frustration. Not unplayable obviously but CCP seem to be experts at sucking the fun & usability out of everything.
EDIT: Apparently these are known issues in the official thread, fair enuff I’ll wait for the fixes.

Yes… my locations panel is also “acting” weird… it has the same symptoms above described, with closed folders showing content, etc… but yesterday in the evening we were already post-patch and all was well…
So whatever the problem is, it happened afterwards…
Also about the ‘nesting’…
CCP, your tweak in the BM’s was amazing. Being able to share them is awesome… The nesting system, although confusing, I can live with that, as you explain it was the only way to make BM’s shareable…
But the “Menu”…
In my opinion, the menu was clearly better as it was, particularly with ppl doing the same for years, its like muscle memory… you could however, give the option to have a clear menu if players so desire… but to change drastically the simple and common act of selecting where to warp makes it a step backward in the gameplay…
I still get confused…
And the new “short key” created is also acting as a mere ‘modifier’, u still have to right-click in space to have the ‘menu’… thats a big step back in my opinion… and gives even less consistency to game (overall) since in that way you now have a “warping menu” without the celestials/belts/stations/etc…
If the new short-key at least could open directly the ‘menu’ on mouse location that would be better than what it is at the moment…
If you are thinking on ways of satisfying your community, then i would say to maintain what you need for the BM’s to be shared but put the “menu” the way it was, with simple right click… and let each one individually to decide if he wants it “clean” or not… this would be by far the best option for me…
