I lost a ship and was going to ask for reimbursement with a support request, however the ship doesn’t show up, it says ‘no recently lost ships found for this character’. Another previously lost ship was showing up yesterday, but now nothing.
I’m just wondering how long it will take for the most recently lost ship to show up? Or is there a chance it won’t show up at all?
I figured I’d have better luck if I waited until the ship showed up for selection in the support request, but I’m also worried if I wait too long and it never shows up, it’ll be too late.
This below answers some of the questions (and potentially some others) and the rest maybe other capsuleers on the forum can or even asking support itself might be a worthy try.
So might the answer be that the ship won’t show up in the support request if it doesn’t meet those rules? Cus I just flew out in an ibis on an alt character, and let it get blown up by a rat, and it showed up immediately as eligible for reimbursement. Obviously not submitting a request about that. Just curious how the system works.
Yeah not entirely sure how a marauder ganked in Halaima of all places is in any way eligible, but that’s for support to decide. Wouldn’t get hopes up that’s for sure.
Either way OP better not waste time as it can take several days for support to respond so if he first asks about what to do if a ship loss is not listed as an option creating a new ticket, by the time they get back to him and he can open a ticket about the loss itself, it might be too late already.
Yes yes, I know it was a ganking, but still, you consent to pvp when you undock, and you should have paid attention to local and your directional scanner.
You would have seen the combat probes zeroing in you. You would have seen the cats long before they landed on grid.
And if this was some sort of gate camp, you should have consulted EvE Gate Camp Check first.
You had every tool available at your disposal to recognize the threat and mitigate it. You have no one to blame but yourself.
You don’t win battles in EvE by flying the better ship. You win the battle by having superior intel.
Isn’t that some mission specific gate gun? I think he was running some deadspace mission in Halaima of all places.
Isn’t that the seat of power for the ganking alliances of which their code of conduct is named after or something? Maybe just a gnaker lore thing but I though that is some ganker HQ and is constantly infested with them or something.
I was running a Wightstorm combat site for the Winter Nexus event. Got swarmed by suicide gankers.
I have no expectation that they have to reimburse me, just trying to see if they’ll consider it.
I put in a ticket, I was just looking to see if anyone knew why it didn’t show up in the drop-down list for selection when other ships did. I figured selecting from the list would make it easier for support to consider my request.
You do know that CCP only reimburses losses caused by server issues, game defects, etc and not normal gameplay like ganks, right?
Not to sound crass but your ticket (which will be denied barring extraordinary circumstances not described here) just clogs the system and slows down response times for others.
