It’s ok, I’ve been checking on those two ships online and asking other Capsuleers about them.
Seems that they both have advantages and drawbacks depending on my skills, fitting and type of weaponry.
Nokla Nokla is the name I use for that Maller fit. It had 95k EHP and has an afterburner in the fit. It is twin 1600mm plated. Has to use small lasars though.

I did that from a loss mail, the names of some of the modules may have changed, and perhaps the ships power grid and CPU.
This ship is very situational, it is very slow, and is best used for holding something in place which you baited, most notably Battleships, fast tackle it is most definitely not, I think very slow tackle would be the way to describe it.
One blown up Domi was the result, I got my Megathron out just as he undocked two Domi’s, one from the character that lost his ship, the other from his second character that he had logged in. The Maller had to withstand some further damage but docked after the aggression timer ended. A lot of people criticised station games like this but it had its moments of fun.
Naming ships definitely adds to the game. I have several hulls with good memories of them stretching back many years. One is my first ever pirate battleship and the first really good missionrunner, a Machariel called Angelwing. Bonus points if somebody remembers Nexus the Jupiter Incident - the main ship ther was called like that). It has seen some ■■■■, first as a mission runner, then some highsec wars (I can faintly remember bashing a structure with it and getting some nice wrecking shots with faction loaded 1400’s), then it saw service in lowsec as a fast locking gate sniper again with 1400’s - I LOVE them. Now its not used but I will always keep that one and it has a honor place in my hangar.
Then I have my first marauder, Vargur called Viking. This is where the majority of my iskies came from and it is still used regularly, along with a Paladin called Pulsar. They were extremely capable before but now after the bastion module buff they are obscenely OP - in most missions I dont even need to engage the armor repper on the Paladin. It is also very nice in Incursions.
Apart from that I mostly use cloaked ships with names resembling ghostly stuff like Wraith, Specter, Apparition and so on. I like choosing names that reflect the role of the ship or its characteristics. This way I like my ships more and care of them more.
Thank you! Good read!
Love those ships names!
And Nexus, The Jupiter Incident, great game! I have it on my hard drive. Haven’t finished it yet, blame EVE for that!
Some of them are named and some aren’t… I won’t divulge their names due to security protocols.
My original 13 year old Rifter Frigate. That trusted workhorse was a heaven sent gift from another player.
After my 2 week trial period was over, I subbed to the game and invested all my ISK into a Missile fit Breacher Frigate. Needless to say that ship ended up being a blast in a mission which left me podding home. I was just about to quit the mission when a Corp mate told me he had a close combat ship I could have, the Rifter.
It was a basic passive / buffer shield autocannon fit. It worked great and I soon set up a skill plan training every single skill pertaining to that ship. Took me 9 months straight to complete that skill plan. During that time both the ship and I advanced in skill and fitting, to where eventually we were completing level 3 encounter missions within the bonus time.
During that first 9 months, my Rifter went from a basic Tech 1 passive buffer shield fit to a fully rigged Tech 2 Faction Deadspace fit set up with high resistance for omni damage. In fact when CCP implemented Rig sizes, my Rifter became the proud owner of not just one but two Large Rigs.
Eventually I advanced into larger class ships but my Rifter was still used a lot due to me becoming an explorer. Over time as my attributes became better due to implants, skills, ship or module changes, I always made sure to sit in my Rifter and update it as best as possible.
I will say that over time my Rifter has seen plenty of action, it’s also survived multiple suicide gank attempts as well. After CCP implemented ship skins, I eventually retired my Rifter and as a sign of respect for all it’s hard work during it’s active duty, I bought my very first ship skin for it.
I must admit it’s been a while since I’ve sat in my Rifter and done a fitting update, I think the last time was when CCP changed the high slot layout from 4 to 3. Anyway, I dug around and found some old screen shots…
I missed the ship that has real meaning, one that I have affection for as being a first.
My first combat ship was a Moa, I brought that to replace an Osprey that I lost in a hisec war. I named it Mighty Mo and it is currently sitting in Stain of all places.
