Now the needs to let different drones to engage different targets is becoming more and more important. Not only in the abyss but also mine with an Orca. This is some UI and API work. Not too much workload I think.
You can assign different targets to each drone - simply don’t group them. You are still limited by bandwidth and maximum 5 drones in space.
You can use radial menu to assign drones to different targets. If using default settings: hold left mouse button on drone in your drone windows and select “attack”. That drone (ore drone group) will attack currently selected targeted object
