I actively play in FW … And manufacture and trade in Hek when my real life is too hectic… my one man company is irrelevant when it comes to my activity.
Exactly
Uh no. CCP added that so low power structures are easier to kill.
There was no hidden agenda to do with one person corps, one person corps get the same vulnerability as everyone else.
A one person Corp with a structure is most certainly not filler.
And a one person Corp without a structure harms no one. And is a real Corp.
Agreed.
You don’t get to disagree and then agree without admiring earlier error. That just makes you a liar.
It looks like Natocha is playing devil’s advocate.
My reasons for liking one man corps:
I don’t. Being in a corp by yourself is boring. I’ve tried it and it’s lonely. It feels like living inside an empty 50 bedroom mansion with no visitors.
There, that’s my ‘for’ argument.
Nevertheless, I must be fair and balanced in my conclusion which follows below.
Conclusion:
In conclusion forum users have presented a variety of reasons why one man corps provide benefit and are useful to the game as a whole. From a social perspective it remains to be seen whether one man corps are necessary as a feature for players to take advantage of, and a few valid arguments have been put forward suggesting that these may inhibit social interaction albeit from a very limited perspective. No great amount of reason has been displayed here to say that one man corps reduce the game’s content in any way. Players enjoy having the freedom to open their own corps and anchor their own structures mostly as a means of self-employment and an opportunity for electronic economic management as well as trying out new content. One man corps are mainly used as a way for players to manage resources and isk and as a way to avoid paying NPC corporation tax. One man corps do not do anything in and of themselves that add or remove content from the game. If any reasons have been put forward against allowing one man corps, they have been limited in scope, number, and player support. The greater number of players have supported the ability to own a one man corp than not having this option and I have factored this into this conclusion since the game’s success is ultimately driven by what players want. This is my conclusion based on a full and balanced assessment of your responses.
Thank you.
Nope. Devils advocate involves actually putting forward logical defences. Not simply blathering on with a bunch of claims and super run on grandious statements to pretend to be important.
A corp can hide all their fixed assets…
They become wardec-ineligible…
They can pick and choose which stations to defend based on the who the attacker is…
The attacker has no clue as to who really owns a station…
The attack has no idea how many station a corp owns…
Please point out the “huge” downside to defend…
What if he is?
When did I make grandiose statements?
Just because you recently lost a 6 bill carrier through your own negligence doesn’t mean I should be the target of your unhappiness and self-disappointment.
Kill history shows who owns the structures If they ever defend them.
If they bother defending them they become war elegible by joining said corp and you can’t repeatedly jump in and out of corps at war. You can’t ally in without a structure so it’s possible to strand yourself out of the relevant Corp by trying to bounce in and out.
If they don’t then they become free structure kills which are expensive.
So yeah. Plenty of downsides.
Carrier? Wtf drugs are you on. Firstly my losses are irrelevant to any kind of posts you make. Secondly I most certainly have not lost a 6 bil carrier to neglegence recently.
Nope…
A defender in a war may chose to seek assistance in the war and open itself for ally offers. This allows otherwise unrelated corporations or alliances to offer to join into the war on the side of the defenders
You must be war elegible to ally.
Learn the system before trying to complain about it.
She does know the system.
Sigh…you don’t need to own a station to be elegible to ally there captain…Learn the system before trying to be an ass.
I’m still stuck at the 6 bil carrier lost part.
I’d be crying for weeks myself so no judgment from me on that one…
