personally im nearing the same point, for different reasons. I have been playing since 06 trying out pretty much everything new as it came out from either 0.0 or a c4 wh alliance i was executor of. Since i left w-space and that community fizzled in my year or so away I havent had any luck at finding a corp either.

The game is OWNED pretty much by Goon, no way to get rid of entities such as them as they are a virus which ruins every game they get into. Something awful = degenerates.

Anyways if that sort of stuff gets you down, then you probably either want some small-medium sized corp that isnt blue with everyone, and is still crunching to get their fleet comps up. Low sec pirate organizations or the higher end FW corps might work if you just want to kill people, and do some pve on the side. PvE obv is best in wh or 0.0 but its still decent doing fw missions or exploration if thats your thing.

Eve is full of people who think that acting a asshat to someone digitally gets them some sort of affirmation in reality when in reality they just look pathetic and childish. So just look at the corps you join before you join them, Goon is famous for what happened to you, avoid the uber-trollish corps, try to get in ones where posting in local during fleet is a no-no that sorta thing. Most corps not in the giant 0.0 coalitions have application processes that take no time to setup, not 4-5 hrs of setting up Seat and all the comms and jabber.

I am leaving personally. I cant take the stupidity of the idiots who seem to be a majority in eve, mainly the guys who think they are awesome when they are just peons with no creativity themselves. If you are wanting some space combat action without the drama you could try the new x4 foundations its a singleplayer but moddable as crap and from a franchise as famous as eve. I play the crap outta it and its much more satisfying than eve, even being a singleplayer game it still manages that. So thats what i would recommend.

Normally joining the mega corps/alliances you become just another number, you get put into a role and thats your life.

Small and med sized corps tend to allow members more flexibility to do what a player waits.

Best thing to do is play and talk to others, and chances are you’ll find a group of players with similar concepts and gameplay

Try it on your own and drop the snowflake mantel!

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and forget them. So you got blown up with everything you own. So what? Keep going. You’ve learned a valuable lesson, and so (hopefully) will not repeat the mistake. All I can say is to just keep trying. You’ll find your home sooner or later. I did, after many years of playing and being all over the damn place.

I got skated into Goons cause of high SP and a friend on the inside so never got the harsh treatment. But, I never enjoyed being a part of them.

Its next to impossible to find people to trust in game. I would suggest trying a few smaller corps to see where you fit in!

Its stupid, but it fits. :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit; this game has given all of us hard knocks at some point. Yet we still log in. You have to ask yourself if your up to the task? Is it worth it for you? For the many of us who have stuck it out, we think it is. I hope you stay with it as well!
