At what rate? I would suggest half rate. One second roll back every two.

Too much? As too fast? There are so many reasons to walk away from a plex besides running away. I think that if you can cut 25% of the time needed to run each respective current timer, half rate drops are not too bad.
I would really prefer separate timers (dual timers), but roll backs are still a step forward. Because, honestly, the roll backs have more to do with neutral parties losing a target than FW fighting over a plex, to which I would say dual timers benefits us in every single way. As you would still have to experience bloated timers even with rollbacks.
