No i understood what they said, they were upset about not being able to test things without risk on SISI, they will instead have to test things on TQ while actually risking their ships, as intended
Except they want to be able to test it without risk, ergo, unwilling to actually put their own assets on the line, severely skewing the risk vs reward on it
There is literally nothing stopping them from learning, this is the inherent point you guys seem to be unwilling to accept, nobody is stopping you from learning this content except yourselves
If you don’t like the facts thats a personal issue i can’t help you resolve, but pointing out those facts isn’t trolling
Just like there are people like you who think Level 4 missions are a joke, there are those who think the same of T6 Abyss. People HAVE mastered T6 Abyss, whether you want to believe it or not, doesn’t change the fact. If you are unable to learn from a loss in T6, you are no where close to being able to survive and need to work on skills before even trying a fit.
They might have, but there is no difference in terms of mechanics, so you can learn exactly what they did on TQ, you just have to actually put in the work now
And I missed the T2 BPO raffles, but I’m not starting threads hoping CCP Games will start another one so I can win one. Nor am I upset with the people who do have T2 BPOs.
I see both pros and cons to this approach, however, understand that Singularity as a test server, should include all access to all current content available reflective of Tranquility. The reason being, is because in order to find bugs, or whatever else that is being worked on by developers and players themselves to observe what still needs refining, or how it affects other elements within the game, that access shouldn’t be limited to only new features that are conceptual ideas of what can eventually make their way into Tranquility. Singularity, has also been a valuable asset for a player to test out particular fits as well for various PVP, or PVE activities throughout New Eden without bearing the significant consequence of losing their actual in game assets. Players are currently having to test those same activities within Tranquility and face the risk of losing those assets which can be a significantly high amount of cost in ISK each time. Throwing a 6B+ ISK ship to do X activity to only lose it, is not a fun feeling, nor is it fun having to obtain those same assets again just to try a different tactic or fit. Singularity should allow all access to all content available within Tranquility.
But it’s on TQ…so why can’t you report bugs that are on TQ by playing on TQ? If it’s something that causes a loss, chances are that Customer support will replace the lost ship.
Ok, but that player should be able to effectively use a <6B+ ISK ship to do X-1 activity to train and grind that isk still at the level below. It’s a step up and everyone should know that. The difference between T5 and T6 abyss is the number of rats and slightly worse weather effects…all of which are calculated. You practice the tactics in T4/T5. The AI behavior doesn’t change between each tier.
Guys… and how to test fits for high lvl abyss? How to test new fits in general? Very dissapointing. Can you please add some replacement? Without “new features”. Just with the same version as Tranquility has.
By working your way up to the target and not jumping in. For T6 abyss, if you are trying a new fit, you start at T4 and work your way up as you grow confident in the fit. If you are taking close to 20 minutes on T4, you will time out in higher tiers, so you will need to add more dps or application. If you are struggling in T5 to maintain your tank, you will not survive T6.
You’re acting as though abyssals are the only thing to test in Singularity. When I said X activity, that includes every activity PVE and PVP in general. Apart from abyssals, that includes but is not limited to mission running, wormhole deadspace, industry mining activity, exploration, fleet vs fleet war dec activity, etc. etc. etc. etc. The list goes on for every activity in this game. CCP’s idea for the availability of Singularity is effectively limiting that activity to a brief window of time to only test new features that are concepts at best, without players being able to observe how those new ideas affect other systems that make their way into Tranquility itself, that’s the point. So your argument there is very narrow in focus to only one example instead of looking at the overall scope and scale this game creates and is affected by. In my opinion, its a grave mistake to limit the access of available content that is readily available on Tranquility as it is in it’s current state.
With eve uni or eve survival, needing to test fits before a mission is not necessary. Sure you may have to play around with a fit or two but coming up with a fit for missions doesnt require sisi
Abyssals are the most punishing to test, which is why most of the conversation is centered around that. For all other PVE testing, you can simply just warp away before actually losing anything.
CCP intends for TQ to be the place where all activities are tried, whether you or anyone else likes it or not. While it may have been the purpose of Singularity in the past (or at least how players have used it), it no longer is. Most of us saying how to do things on TQ are trying to advise those on how to test on TQ, but are met with whiners who think that they can somehow counter all the data that CCP gained from Viridian not being on singularity that solidified their decision to close off Sisi.
I have ran like 500 t6 in a gila worth about 700m without loosing it once the issue is not isk it is piloting skills if you can fly your ships you can run abyssals
I am very glad the test server has gone away as it will make abyssals more lucrative as less people will run them because boo hoo I can’t learn how to fly my ship without Risk anymore increasing their value
