Singularity Mass Test - Cradle of War edition!

It was amazing chatting with all of you at Fanfest, both in person and at home! Now that you’ve seen a bit about what is coming in the Cradle of War expansion on 9June, we’d like to open up the Singularity test server to gather your valuable feedback on the new military campaigns and updated Factional Warfare content

In particular, we are very interested in testing and feedback for the new military campaigns, where you can opt into an objective for a faction, do the objective, and get rewards! Just a note: these will be an abridged version of the military campaigns specifically for the test.

We would also like some help with general testing around the gameplay of the new Factional Warfare complexes, limited time mining and hacking sites, and the updates to Battlefields to address seagulling.

How to connect to Singularity for this test:

Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the bottom right corner of the launcher and log in as normal.
More detailed instructions are available here.

There are other things that will be visible on Singularity, like stats on the T2 Carriers, but these are not the focus of this specific test.

It should be noted that the graphics for some of the new features are still in active development and not representative of the final version of them. We would also like to remind everyone that this is a test server and things are very much in flux.

Singularity will be open from 21 May ~11:00 UTC to Monday, 25 May at 5 AM GMT.

Here are a list of features that will be on the Singularity server that we’d love some feedback on

Military Campaigns

Military Campaigns are limited-time content that any capsuleer can participate, regardless of their birth empire or their enlistment status.

  • Some objectives that require PvP engagement do require enlistment with the specific empire militia in FW.
  • Each campaign has a set number of objectives with new objectives revealed over time
    • Objectives only expire at the end of the campaign itself or if they reach full participation and are fulfilled
  • A campaign is successful once a number of objectives have been completed (less than the set number mentioned above)
  • Objectives provide the contributing capsuleer with the following rewards:
    • ISK
    • LP
      • PvP objectives will give out that empire’s faction militia LP
      • PvE objectives will give out that empire’s navy LP
    • Standings gains
      • There are no derived standings loss, only a direct gain to that specific empire’s faction
  • Some objective rewards will require a minimum amount of contribution
  • Read the objective description carefully to make sure you’ll be able to contribute

Limited time FW plexes

FW Complex site for Battlecruisers and smaller

  • Moderate NVY-3
    • A new 3 person complex which spawns exclusively in frontlines. This site has a very large amount of victory points, but has a slower respawn time.
    • Allows Navy Battlecruisers and below to enter. The first ‘Moderate’ Sized plex.
    • Contains a effect inside the capture point room which improves the skill level bonuses per level of all Battlecruiser hulls, if you have Battlecruiser Level V, it functionally gives you Battlecruiser level VI!

FW Complex for T3 Destroyers and smaller with wild effects

  • Contested Field Research Facility
    • A new 10 person complex which spawns exclusively in frontlines. This site has a unique twist where there will be random effects applied to all players inside. There are 20 effects total, of which 3 will be applied.

FW Complex for Interceptors

  • Small Interceptor -1
    • A new complex which spawns exclusively in Command Operations systems. This site only allows Interceptors to enter.

FW Complex for Tech 1 Frigates

  • Scout BSC-1
    • A new 1 person complex which spawns exclusively in frontlines
    • Allows Tech 1 attack and combat frigates to enter
    • 5 minute capture timer instead of 10 minutes, with a faster respawn
    • NPCs guarding the complex spawn more often and are far more likely to have warp disruptors.

Limited Time Mining Anomalies

  • New mining anomalies can be found in each factions highsec Bulwark systems.
    • Amarr Bulwark - Imperial Raspite Reserve
    • Caldari Bulwark - State Polycrase Reserve
    • Gallente Bulwark - Federal Moissanite Reserve
    • Minmatar Bulwark - Republic Kangite Reserve

Limited Time Hacking Sites

  • New hacking sites will start appearing in Bulwark systems belonging to the enemy faction, based on the data sites from the Shadow War campaign.
    • Amarr Bulwark - Republic Intelligence Exfil
    • Caldari Bulwark - Federal Intelligence Exfil
    • Gallente Bulwark - State Intelligence Exfil
    • Minmatar Bulwark - Imperial Intelligence Exfil

Updates to Battlefields

  • The resistances of all NPCs in battlefields has been set to the typical omni-resist profiles found by FW NPCs in other complexes
  • Rebalanced the payout structure of battlefield sites to help combat seagulling.
    • LP Payout has been reduced from 150,000 LP to 50,000 LP
    • The removed LP value of rewards has been placed inside NPC haulers which will now spawn on the control points as each faction progresses the site.
    • Hauler wrecks have a 5km warp disruption radius around them which prevents warping, making them dangerous to ninja loot for seagulls.

Can we get a server wide faction standings reset on SISI so everyone can test all the things?

They said in the major update, so likely September.

Great if shooting suspects doesn’t give the attackers a standings hit.

Well, time to let out the in-game photography.

will be playing with a fair bit of this, and also always happy to be able to pull out some of the big toys for more organized screenshot parades that would be suicidal on the live server

Will definitely be doing a lot of testing of the bulwark sites personally.

Shooting a suspect does not cause a standings hit, or at least it is not supposed to.

that being said can’t a seagull just shoot the hauler before it dies and then the loot action wont cause the seagull to go suspect?

Are they really a seagull then if they can out damage the fleet?

most likely unless they are assigning the wreck based on dmg done

That whole battlefield business is really clunky in my opinion.

Physical loot that needs to be manually spread between fleet members, either through tedious trades, or by later sending LP without an actual ledger to keep track of transactions. Both options suck, and you don’t even get extra rewards for doing this! :confused:

And the idea that a seaguling ship, likely a MWD T1 frig, would somehow be deterred by the idea of losing their 2mil ship versus exfiltrating with a big payout, is also quite out-of-touch with reality.

As for everything else FW: Please stop with the infinitely respawning waves of ennemies… Tediousness, tediousness, tediousness.. More tediousness.. Is that all that can be done to “fix” FW? If so, I’d rather have seaguls and the old battlefields & the old sites, thanks.

I understand the drive to require capable fits and active participating while capping a point.. But can’t we just get a single appropriately-sized boss at like 1min capture time remaining?

Instead of 99 tiny ships that tickle & need to be targeted manually one by one… (Also, their invulnerability after landing is infuriating.)

Should be 10km imo, 2.5k for a frig to travel is nothing

Just the leeching

Not really. The PVP fleets that protect the site runners get completely screwed by this update.
