Skillers in the Abyss

Preach it brother

Dear CCP,
Stop bribing players with content. If the game is good, you won’t have to do things that make the game better. Now bribe me with content that only supers and titans can do, and that give out unique and powerful rewards. Eve is unbalanced. How dare you balance the game. I know people have been complaining about capital balance and proliferation for a few years now, but you tricked me into a capital, and then nerfed it into the ground. No one will ever undock a capital again.

Also, I’m sure this won’t stand as an eternal testament to my ability to make bad predictions, but I predict that player count will drop down to well below lock-down numbers after the lock down ends. Because if I don’t like what you’ve been doing, then obviously no one has.

Sincerely,
A Bitter Vet

God, I hope so. Capitals were a mistake and ruined the game.

Yeah I don’t quite see the complaints about “bribes” of “free” SP. You can literally pay for SP with real life cash, hard for me to get too worked up about 10,000 points being given away for an event.

Plus if it helps get noobies into the game that’s a total win in my book.

Moving the goalposts is an informal logical fallacy in which previously agreed upon standards for deciding an argument are arbitrarily changed once they have been met. This is usually done by the “losing” side of an argument in a desperate bid to save face. If the goalposts are moved far enough, then the standards can eventually evolve into something that cannot be met no matter what (or anything will meet said standard if the losing side is trying to meet the standard using this tactic). Usually such a tactic is spotted quickly. Often, moving the goalposts is an exercise in slothful induction.

Example
Isagar Onnlin: This event is a trap for newbros
Scoots Choco: People will be able to do T1’s easy
Isagar Onnlin: I don’t do T1’s.

Funny enough when I hopped on Sisi my T5 ship could still do T5s…you aren’t doing them cheap, but its only a little more tricky.

That’s the only one.

OMG you are brilliant WE Need Titan and Super Abyss, then that would be quite a way to remove mass amounts of capitals from the game.

Is it a gila out of interest?

@CCP_Dopamine I was quite annoyed after 2 hours of scanning null sec low sec and wormhole space on sisi for data and relic sites to find abyss filaments to try it out only to realize you have removed it all from Sisi its literally impossible to find any abyssal filaments… Skillers in the abyss got me excited to try out abyss again and I wanted to try a new strat since all the resists are nerfed to oblivion but I can’t even do that.

Now you want us to hop on Tranquility in an expensive ship that we can’t test with an unstable server connection that might drop mid fight I think you have not planned this out properly.

If you want us to do abyss with 0 testing in even worse conditions the rewards need to be a lot higher.

Please fix Sisi so we can do what a test server is there for to test things.

Well, I think this event will be good for promoting abyssal’s but I’m not sure if alpha accounts will be able to do all the challenges.

Nope, to slow and to reliant on the drones.

i’m surprised. What are you using for T5’s then? Ikitursa, Ishtar, Sacrilege or something else?

No Scoots, capitals weren’t the mistake.
The way CCP “balanced” them was the mistake.

If it’s anything like the Abyssal event when Abyssal sites first came out they should be able to.

I was doing them in Caracals, Vexors and VNI’s as an alpha and in a Gila too. That was before T2 med drones were removed from alphas and before the resistance changes but t3’s were very possible then for alphas but you didn’t need to do more than T1’s or T2’s.

Muninn

Faster, has “enough” range and is completely immune to cap pressure in electricals.

oh nice choice. I use the gila myself (I’m boring)

I’d be happier if Abyssal space was removed… I was FURIOUS when it was introduced. Completely and totally defective by design. Other trig content is fine, though. Other trig content provides opportunities for greater challenges, greater rewards, enable a greater palette of ships and roles you can use, enable more co-op, provide equal or higher risk but without “mandatory loss” ever entering the picture, etc. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t hurt me for abyssal to exist, I just hate to see so many players shoot themselves in the foot (exceptions to the rule not withstanding), especially in light of newer, better trig content.

This event should have revolved around invasions, not abyssal.

if we got skill points for getting killed in the Abyss I could win Eve.

I agree that the PVP didn’t seem nearly worth it to risk.

If you are able to kill a bling fit that has horrible skills, you can get a lot of isk
