I can only go off of personal experience. I have plenty of freighter and jump freighter pilots complain that I’m griefing just seconds after the initial bump and convo request.
His level of frustration may not be reasonable.

I don’t really see the point you were making though. OP complains about bumping being griefing and doesn’t list any real examples that don’t just come off as venting to random players on a game forum. The fact was stated that even though they are always visible or immediate, gank fleets are a real possibility that follow bumping. It doesn’t matter if you have valuable cargo or are tanked.
I am merely pointing out we do not know how long this “eternal bumping” was. Might be 2 hours, might be 15 minutes. With 2 hours yeah it’s a real dick move. With 15 minutes hoping to get a gank fleet formed only to realize you can’t…meh annoying but not exactly that big a deal…especially since the OP rage posted and has yet to return to the topic. If this is trolling…
I always wonder why people haul stuff
Sure it does. A good HP to ISK ratio, good piloting, instant (un)dock bookmarks, a webing alt, freinds that can come to help all do minimize the risk of getting bumped, ganked or griefed. Sure, there is a small chance that you will get caught against the odds. But saying the tank to ISK ratio does not matter is like saying breaks on a car don’t matter because cars with breaks are involved in accidents too.
I’m saying it doesn’t matter because it’s entirely possible that an empty or tanked freighter gets ganked just because.
Entirely possible? Yes, in theory. Happening? Not so much, just look up zkill. And we don’t even know how many of the freigthers that goot ganked regardless of beeing empty accepted an “I will web you to warp faster” invite or tried to loot a yellow wreck on the undock.
Not as much as before, but in CODE’s prime with Loyalanon at the helm of freighter ganks it was common enough that when they had a fleet going they were killing everything, even empties.
Under loyalanon it happened all the time
Every freighter was a dead freighter
Empty, tanked, blingy, they were all dying and crying
Congratulations miner! You have experienced a small taste of elite PvP.
Bumping is not griefing, it is the highest form of piloting attainable. A good bumper can keep you in space indefinitely, and will usually do so in order to extract a ransom or to delay you until your ship can be ganked.
To avoid being bumped be sure to follow The Code.
See www.minerbumping.com for details.
This is really interesting.
What really bothers me is this claim for the absolute. you clearly declare that no one ever is ever again going to bump him, if he just follows the code. The issue i have, is the idea of being the only ones who do it, and combined with being considered as griefers, it puts this and other game mechanics into a bad light.
Or, in other words, your pseudo RP has the potential to hurt the game. it can cause an interesting phenomenon, where people deliberately avoid doing certain things, because they wouldn’t want to get associated with even just a few ego tripping jerks.
Example being that everyone who bumps would wrongly be called a code alt, because there are enough creatively challenged folks out there, who would think that and spread it around.
And THAT would translate into negative influence on society and culture!
Interesting! Btw, i’m observing, not criticizing.
You spend too much time postulating, yellow parasol. The New Order is a movement that spans alliances, encompassing everybody who believes in bringing risk to Highsec, in accordance with the wisdom of the Saviour James 315. The CODE. alliance is only the most visible arm of it.
The carebear OP Serenity Fireslayer suffers from an undue sense of entitlement. Specifically, she believes that she is entitled to undock a freighter and gate travel through Highsec without anybody interfering. Does she seek out the Saviour of Highsec and ask Him for permission to haul? No, she assumes that Highsec is a risk-free theme park where anything goes. Does she seek to educate herself on bumping precedent? No, she assumes that she is being harassed and petitions it. When she is told that the mechanic is valid she starts yet another tear thread in hopes of generating sympathy.
She also assumes that a bounty is a sign that a player is unpopular and therefore deserves to be forced to stop his actions. What a terrifying thought.
You might ask yourself how OP managed to train as far as freighter without learning anything about the universe she occupies. The answer is a) skill injectors and b) bot-aspirancy. Serenity Fireslayer believes that player interaction should be optional in EVE, and is attempting to lobby the developers to make it so. If there was a PvP toggle switch she would set it ‘off’. She is a vile specimen and an existential threat to EVE as we know and love it.
I’m trying to talk to a normal human here, so behave like one. The very last thing you should be doing is proving me right.
Not normal? That sounds a lot like discrimination against minorities. Follow The Code miner, and be foremost concerned with your own compliance.
Is RP outside of the RP section even allowed?
Haha, do you 'member when he used to login a fleet of alts to like his own posts on the old forums once he started to lose the argument and soon after his temper?
I 'member
Would be even more obvious here though
can you source your claims? it makes things so much easier.
What happened back then?
Will do once I have access to a PC again, bookmarked your post so I don’t forget it.
You’re on the internet mate, even you’re RPing to an extent since people can’t really help it
More RP please James has turned you ALL into bots while pretending you were out there fighting bots. Keep making him risk free ISK and yelling about other peoples cowardice James 315 is the most risk averse person in HiSec. Everyone who actually undocks is less of a carebear
Whoa Keno, show us on the freighter doll where mean ol’ uncle James touched you.
Keep going, I almost have a bingo!
lol honestly no, I don’t 'member. I think, like most people, I quickly learned to start skipping over DMC’s extremely verbose posts. No matter the topic, he just blah blah blah blah blahs about it until no one cares anymore. I really wouldn’t mind the length of his posts, but the thing is, they’re never very interesting or funny.
I always get through a multi-paragraph post only to realize he ultimately has nothing to contribute.
That’s gotta be like, a disorder, right?
The compulsion to go to the interent and authoritatively assert nonsense you just made up, concerning topics you clearly know nothing about?
Is that in the DSM?
