I’ve been helping to build up my corp, run mining fleets, and mine ore. I’ve also recently started a different line of market PvP (“flipping” items on the market), which is fun and more profitable than I thought it would be. My corp has been doing some small gang PvP that was–until very recently–a bit beyond my skills, but I’m looking forward to jumping back into that.
Other than that, I enjoy hauling, industry, and generally playing “mad scientist” in my “lab” with reactions and such. I’m thinking about getting a lab coat and goggles just for that. I might also try my hand at exploration, since I’ve never personally done it.
Looks like this thread backfired a bit, not at all what the OP hoped for. The active people are playing the game, adjusting to changes and opportunities and see the advantages of the mining update.
It’s only the lazies or people who don’t even play that do the raging and crying.
I don’t see what’s posting with Alts to do with being a loser. What did that person lose, your respect? As if it’s needed, lol.
I am on this forum under this few-week’s old alt while I been playing EVE for 5 years, so what? The words you are reading are still mine.
CCP allows us to have two alts per account and allows posting on the forum under whatever alt we wish, you don’t like it? Go talk to Hilmar
I used to use my active character for the forums but I’m weird and an altoholic: after a while I get bored with a character or playstyle, yank out the SP and start anew. As destructive and wasteful as that is, it is who I am.
So every time a switch like that happened I switched forum char because “you’re supposed to use you active char for the forums”. At some point I decided that got silly and made a specific forum char with no ties or links so I can change characters all I want: this forum one remains.
But I’ve never used multiple chars at the same time: one stopped, the other started. And since I’ve been using this one I’ve not posted on another.
I’m a bit the same way. I biomassed three mains so far, just to wipe the slate clean ( and put some bothersome capsuleers off my scent ). Now my main is about a year old ( I received the annual Your Year in EVE email for that character so its been a year) and I’m happy with it so I don’t think I’ll biomass a main character again - but alts? I use them for certain things I cannot do because I don’t multibox so they’re expendable - and they know it, hehe…
Again, I’m the same way in that regard. This is my only forum-posting alt and I think it will remain so.
Anyone who don’t like people using alts for forum need to take it up with CCP. I will do whatever is allowed and those who don’t like it can put “You’re supposed to…” where the sun don’t shine.
PS: I love how certain forum members get all bent out of shape and point fingers and puff up their chest trying to make the rest of us comply with their wishes. ‘Delusional’ is the word I use for them. They have no power whatsoever either in-game or on the forum but they act as if they did. That’s hilarious

I just came back to ■■■■ around in low/null in some frigates because that’s the funnest part of the game for me. I see Eve as a universe of infinite possibilities, like a brilliant and unique manifestation of 3D Chess. It’s the best sandbox MMO/PVP playground I’ve ever had the fortune to encounter. Even though it got sold to some garbage gaming corporation, it’s still Eve, it’s still fun, spaceships are cool. The infinite possibilities is what I like. If you only have the spirit, and the WILLPOWER, to do something unique and creative in this game, you can do something amazing. Plus, it’s just fun. I like doing fun ■■■■. Eve happens to be fun and cool, in my opinion. So I’ll always come back as long as it’s still Eve.
Yea ‘yawn’, meaning you have nothing to rebut my comment because you know damn well it’s the truth. There is nothing you can do to prevent people from using alts on the forum and you know it, so instead of throwing a tantrum because you can’t control what people think and do like a tyrant, stick to the topic of the thread.
