[SoERR] Assistance in the current Empire crisis

Really now, your ego needs some serious deflating if you think that you are the sole cause of our decision to declare war on Kernher’s corporation.

You also maybe need to stop underestimating her.

She has chosen her side quite aggressively and with remarkable effect in the last several months.

Emphasis mine, and I think no such thing. I am not even a player on this field; I am running minor humanitarian waypoint bases and offering lifts to people who have difficulties moving around the area otherwise.

I am merely frustrated that you target humanitarian support at all, and that even there you target the parties least likely to actually be a military threat.

Glad you noticed.

Samira has demonstrated that she doesn’t see her actions as limited to humanitarian support, having committed both terrorist action and blatantly supported U’K with a battleship at Kahah.

The idea that targeting her is targeting humanitarian support vastly underestimates her capacity for violence.

She is a dangerous terrorist and heretic, not some harmless do-gooder.

Everyone has capacity to violence. It is more about how she chooses to use it in different situations.

This is her home, for gods’ sake.

It was her home, yes. How is that relevant to whether her facility can be classed as “humanitarian”?

Knowing Samira, it does the opposite and dramatically increases the probability of ill considered violence.

Meanwhile, Darkar actively organized and recruited an invasion.

So what humanitarian efforts are we targeting?

Really? Do you truly have to demonize her so? She is more Amarr than most of you ever were, because she actually had to put in the work to become it. She dedicated herself more to the scriptures and teachings than any of you rat bastards who merely defaulted to it by accident of birth. She, unlike you, actually went out and hunted the clown and his ilk, because she put words and teachings of Amarr into action.

And here you lot are, hypocritical shits who fly with Blooders, Cartel and whoever else when it is convenient, condemning the most Amarr woman you ever met as a ‘terrorist’ because she shames you with her strength of conviction. Her willingness to strive for the ideals extolled in your scriptures, rather than defend the corruption you lazily embrace.

You truly are sickening. I remember I used to have a little bit of respect for PIE. Then it turned out, there was no such thing as principles there. Just a shiny veneer hiding cowardice, corruption and lies beneath.

I ask kindly that quarrels between third parties be taken to another thread.

Well, if that’s what’s driving your decisions…

I have clearly chosen my side in this. And the GSF structure is mine, through associates who have the legal wherewithal to anchor a structure (as a member of 'waffe, we keep those roles restricted for eminently practical reasons with which I completely agree). For that matter, I’m pretty sure I’m one of the only people who got shots in on that Khanid Nyx in Kahah, so we can add ‘aggressively’ to the word salad, if you like.

So. Will PIE be declaring war on Goonswarm?

Captain Rhiannon’s organization operating out of Arrendis’s citadel has no more bearing on my battlefield that the current planetary alignment in New Caldari.

However, Madame Director, I do want to know if Goonswarm has altered their relationship with the Amarr Empire to hostile?

But operating out of Samira Kernher’s citadel does?

I’m not in Thebeka. I’m on Alkabsi.

The system name doesn’t really change anything of importance here. X is happening in system A and system B. The reaction in system A is one thing, in system B an entirely different thing. The only real difference is that in system B the structure owners have quite a bit more heft to them.

No. It matters because PIE is deployed to Thebeka. That’s their AO. I am in Alkabsi. It’s my AO.

I don’t get to second guess PIE when it comes to what they deem a threat than PIE gets to second guess me to what I do not deem a threat. I don’t know their situation. I do know mine. And as long as Captain Rhiannon keeps herself and her organization in space, then I’m not concerned at all.

Goonswarm has no official posture toward any of the Empires, with the possible exception of Miniluv’s general ‘Thanks for leaving police duties to those chuckleheads in CONCORD’. That has not changed. PIE’s spokesman, however, did not cite Cail Avetatu’s position toward the Empire. He cited Samira’s position in this matter.

You and I have already spoken on that score. I trust you won’t give me reason to take specific issue with House Newelle’s behavior.

You’re really splitting hairs here, Arrendis. We can talk about that in private, though.

As I said in private, I welcome your scrutiny.

I would to state that while I personally appreciate my tribeswoman Arrendis’s offer to use her structure as a waystation for my operation, Goonswarm in general is and remains red to Electus Matari.

Status update:

Thanks to generous donations from loyal sisters and brothers of the Tribes, the operation is now well stocked for food, water, and shelter. As is usual during these operations, we tend to get an initial surge of individuals, and then it quiets down to a more manageable, steady pace. We seem to be at this point now. The staff and security have handled the workload well and the bases and pickup points run smoothly.

We have also established contact with representatives of fighting forces and are now able to direct those who wish to fight towards more suitable establishments in all three systems we are currently active in. Thank you for all the suggestions here and in private!

(For opsec reasons I will name benefactors only after the situation is over. You are by all means allowed to out yourself earlier if you so like.)

On a more annoying note, members of PIE Inc have caused hindrances to the operation by taking down information beacons on the orbits of the planets we cater to. These beacons are for humanitarian purposes only; striking them down serves only to stop individuals who for fear of retaliation dare not approach officials on planets from receiving shelter and medical aid. This is nothing but a further form of violent suppression of legitimate pursuits of freedom and an additional cruelty against civilians.

I am consulting with my alliance about whether something can be done about this.

Which one should we trust?

I suspect you might be reading into the “cluster burn” comment a touch too literally.

It is hardly the only quote I could have picked that would demonstrate why we assume Elsebeth has hostile intent in anything she does regarding Amarr.
