I used to have the same issue.
Then I stopped playing in the dark, and the issue went away.

Seriously:
I couldnât read stuff well with your settings tooâŚ
In the second picture it looks to me as if your graphic settings are odd. Like gamma values in the GPU driver settings.
Seriously:
Multiple accounts logged on at the same time? Log out of everything and restart the client. Should work then.
Your transparency setting of 0% does nothing if all your windows are in âlightâ mode, which uses 100% transparency.
The first thing you should do is to disable âlight modeâ on every single ui window and turn âblurâ off.
Nah it was Shader Quality option, needs to be medium or high for this option to be changed. So I did that. I didnât notice any change though.
There are a lot of dumdum posts in this thread. Thereâs the people who pretend to be a dumdum so they can argue for argumentâs sake, and then there are the people who think they are pretending to be a dumdum but theyâre actual dumdums.
These are the 4 skyboxes from the 4 factions of space, one of those is not like the others because itâs far brighter and harsher compared to the other skyboxes and the UI in general. It has nothing to do with âmonitor settingsâ or âdonât play in the darkâ or any other uninformed dumdum nonsense. There is no logic to it either, CCP didnât do this because it made sense, there is no lore reason, there is no reason at all. This is just some CCP dev doing CCP dev things.
Stop defending dumdum stuff.
What does transparency option, the one that I have disabled do then? Whatever.
I donât know how many times I need to write it. With the UI windows not transparent and with black background it is even worse. It creates larger contrast between super bright shining white in the space and black panel with white text on the right (or left whereever), Sure it is easier to read then, but it hurts eyes more.
So I did turn off blur. And restarted the client just in case. Because I see absolutely no difference in anything. So no that doesnât do anything.
Seriously man. How is any of the options you are suggesting that I have wrong supposed to make the bright white supernova in the space less bright? That is the main problem. Not UIs. And I do have those windows transparent for a reason. I am multiboxing and using small windows so I can fit as many as I can and watch them at the same time. (Most multiboxers uses EVE-O but not me) and having the overview transparent expands the available screen.
I think the bottom right is not like the others, it doesnât look like a HS skybox. Is that a region at the edge of HS or even LS perhaps?
HS skyboxes are generally surrounded by nebulae, but bottom right is a nebula from a distance, with open space besides it. It looks like how a HS region looks from a distance, but the HS region would be within that nebula.
These are taken in career systems or 2-3 jumps away from one.
Stop being dumb and argumentative.
If true, then you havenât taken a very representative screenshot of that part of space.
Which region is that?
Iâm just going to add you to the blocked troll list, youâre no better and in some ways worse.
Which region?
Given the heavy green, whiteish blue and golden clouds in the other three pictures I would think the fourth is supposed to be some Minmatar region, but I hardly see any bright red nebula, like you picked for the other three.
Hereâs a quick image from a planet in the skybox of Hek to illustrate what I would expect from a HS minmatar skybox:
I could however strategically point my camera the other way and make a picture like this if I had the intention to make the other parts of space seem much brighter:
Hence my question if your fourth picture is a representative picture of that part of space.
Because I donât think it is.
Found the fourth one: Kor Azor region.
The golden clouds in the third put me on the wrong path, making me assume the fourth would be Minmatar, given that the first two are clearly Gallente and Caldari.
But I thought I recognised that cloud from when I lived in the southern part of space, so I checked the edge of HS in Amarr space, Kor Azor.
Here is the cloud in question:
It seems strategically picked to be one of the darker areas of space, because if I turn my camera around in that system I see the kind of bright colours HS nebulae are known for:
With this Amarr picture next to it the bright top right Caldari picture suddenly doesnât feel so much out of place, does it?
Yes, Iâm aware you probably meant the top right to be âout of placeâ rather than the bottom right picture with your choice of pictures. I just didnât go along with that line of reasoning, because of your selection of pictures.
My point is that you picked some very subjective pictures to seemingly make Caldari space feel out of place.
If youâre going to complain that one part of space has bright spots, at least compare bright spots with bright spots, not bright spots with dark ones.
Not just Caldari HS, but HS everywhere is known for being surrounded by bright colourful nebulae. The further you get out of HS the darker space becomes.
Some more bright HS space:
I think it looks pretty. A nice break from the dark null sec regions.
Those screenshots look absolutely awesome and in No way âtoo brightâ or anything. Not even in their brightest spots.
Iâll make some with my own settings later.
A tip: planetary interaction can be opened from the map on any planet, allowing you to remotely see skyboxes anywhere in the game.
You do realise that the issue is caldari space, the white bright one. And not the one the troll/dumdum thinks it is.
This is New Caldari:
I think that one skybox in the Forge is pretty too:
It also has plenty of darker spots in the same system though, if you turn around:
and a nice red nebula in a distance:
So if youâve got any trouble reading your UI because you chose to use the optional see-through settings you could easily turn around and read your UI anyway.
But of course one can also zoom in on one particularly bright spot of the skybox to make it appear as if this is an âunacceptableâ problem:
But I hope anyone can now see with access to pictures of a much fuller frame that this is a very subjective and small selection of space.
