Your proposal would destroy an established economy of standings corporations who can do exactly what you want. It destroys emergent gameplay and player efforts in favor of what? Direct to isk sink payments? How would u propose to balance such a payment and how would u compensate entire industries that have developed around what you have proposed?

Just pay the standings corps to do their jobs and be done with it… I mean if you have so much isk to throw at the “problem”.

While I completely understand and sympathize with the point you’re trying to make, I hate to say this but that ship set sail a long time ago when CCP decided to streamline skill training and standing requirements, those changes basically made a lot of specialized Capsuleer Service business ventures obsolete…

I mostly miss having ‘Specialized’ careers. Lot’s of players had viable business ventures happening in-game. I’m talking about providing services in-game such as Exploration Bookmark Service, Industry Mining Service, R&D Blueprint Service, Manufacturing Service, Corp Formation Service, Structure Anchoring Service, Jump-clone Service, Salvaging Service, Standings Service, etc. All of those ‘Specialized’ services have been made obsolete due to CCP turning the game into easy mode for instant gra…

Now that being said Id love more avenues to change and challenge standings as I have posted about with other capsuleers in other threads. But directly ability to pay to get, change or manipulate standings isnt one of them beyond what we have here. Id prefer a more fun way of engaging with the gameplay. Something like running black market missions or engaging in backdoor engaging gameplay that would change standings with certain corps/factions that are maybe a dice roll as to whether it works, it successfully applies and has a chance of failure and blowing up in someones face. Ie it works super well or chaos reigns. Anything but “buying” standings.

I totally agree with that and don’t really like the idea of ‘Buying Standings’… In fact, you do know I sorta exposed more emergent gameplay options when I first created the ‘Faction Standing Repair Plan’ back in early 2010… Even though ‘The Plan’ is still basically viable today, unfortunately most of those Agents are only accessible once during the Capsuleers life span… Personally I’d like to see those Agents made repeatable like the Epic Arcs but have them enabled with a much longer cool down timer…
