The hauler makes trips between the FOB and the miners, it also travels from each individual mining ship to the next (to pick up ore). You can usually wait near to one of the miners for it to come into scram range, it will try and warp out so you need a warp scrambler (the t2 hauler has stabs) to hold it while you kill it.
hey,
Zentok pointed me to this thread
as i see some players already pointed out that FOBs are hard to get into, but trivial once you figure out mechanics, will not comment on that part.
easy to solo too e.g.:
so i will dive a bit more into the matter of profitability, as someone pointed out those scale up with number of players in fleet:
solo player with no fleet - no reward
solo player alone in fleet - 15mil
2 players - 23.3mil each
3 players - 26.1mil each
4 players - 27.5mil each
5 players - 28.3mil each
6 players - 28.7mil each
7 players - 28.8mil each
8 players - 29.5mil each
9 players - 29.8mil each
10 players - 30mil each
11 players - 28.7mil each
12 players - 27.7mil each
13 players - 26.9mil each
14 players - 26.1mil each
15 players - 25.5mil each
16 players - 25mil each
17 players - 24.5mil each
18 players - 24mil each
…
21 players - 23mil each
…
40 players - 20mil each
40+ players 800mil divided by number of players
in current citadel module market loots are not worth mentioning
so if you have knowledge how to do them, and have 10 alts, it can be someone okey-ish income. as you can do 1-2 per hour + extra small income from modules
but if you have only 1 or 2 accounts, then this activity provides very poor rewards in comparison to other pve activities, which are more intense but does not scale well with many alts (like abyss, or missions)
WOW! That makes you the foremost expert on FOB’s
I’m trying to work out the details on the spawns. The Ikitursa fit will take me about a month.
How long did it take you to kill that FOB solo in your Ikitursa?
Cracked me up!!!
I heard the Nestor was worth a LOT of bananas…
Thanks for all the feedback. I’m off to try it on SiSi.
and now your hooked up with the best info you can get in the game on fobs so i look forward to hearing of your success’s bro!.
I will keep this thread updated. I was on SiSi for about 6 hours working on this today. It took a LONG TIME to run down the BR Bestower…but I found it and killed it. I landed on the FOB and started shooting. There were no other spawns, which is great, but it doesn’t rule out future spawns 100%.
The Rattlesnake fitting that I linked can tank ANY spawn that I’ve seen so far…except. When I ran one on TQ the other day a Bestower (hauler) landed on the FOB. I was fine but I was disrupted so I could escape the spawn that the Bestower called in. They killed me rather quickly.
@Princess_Sairan funny story…not really.
I was toggling between accounts. My main on TQ and my main on SiSi. I wanted to try that Ikitursa fitting so started “applying” skill points. When I ran out of SP’s, I realized that I was on TQ. So, the 1.5m SPs I’ve been guarding for 3-6 months got used.
My only regret? If I buy SP’s (I didn’t have enough for that fitting) now, CCP will count it as a Dr. Who Crossover success… I don’t want to, but I have 13 days left to train that fit.
Do you have a solo fit for that Ikitursa? The fitting you gave me lasted about 2 minutes.
I used my pod to set up a warp-in at 400 km. Then I just orbited the FOB at 400 km.
I don’t have any experience using a HAC for PVE.
Have you visited the “FOB fits” eve comms channel ?
I’ll try to get there today. My wife has been sick and what little time I have on Eve has been on the Test Server.
Thanks!
Does anyone have a good Ikitursa fitting for killing the Blood Raider FOB spawn (out of tower range)?
As far as I know, you need a top line fleet, comparable to an Incursion fleet, to take on the FOB’.s
Sir Dryson,
I’ve completed about a dozen solo on the Test Server and two on TQ. While shooting the third one on TQ a Blood Raider Bestower undocked right in front of me. He called in more than enough reinforcements to kill my pretty little Rattlesnake. I was already disrupted.
I will be sure to kill the ships holding me down BEFORE I start shooting the FOB next time. I’m trying to work out the whole, “scan down the hauler first” method with 50/50 success.
If it takes me an hour to find and kill the hauler, then it’s not worth running them.
