- Most rats exist for only a couple of seconds. Their wrecks usually last for a couple of hours.
- I have a ship that is older than one of my alliance members.

People who were not even born when I started playing. went through school got a degree on a University and are parents now.
It takes +24 years to learn every skill in the game without the aid of extra earned/puchased skill points.
Every time you delete a jump clone, they just straight up murder that clone without waking it up.
We’re all going to hell.
last time i heard somene calculate it…it was 34 yrs on 1 char naturally training to max every skill
The calculations are all over the place. It ranges from 24 years, to 28 year, to over 30 and on.
Most if those people came to their conclusions using evemon back when that was a highly supported program.
A recent reddit post i found had someone figure 10,281 days 7 hours, 51 minutes, and 9 seconds, or 28.17 years. Now there are several variations…implants, the skills that were still available at the time of the calculation, etc.
After all the bit of reading and taking the averages, i came up with 24+ years (give or take)
Its a pretty fascinating question though. Im sure somebody out there has in fact come up with the exact time it takes.
Used to be (I think it’s been changed or maybe it’s bugged), when you biomassed a character, there was a sound effect that sounded like a scream.
Creepy, in a good way, for this game.
I remember that sound. Ive only ever biomassed one character years ago. It was indeed an awful sound.
People choose to sign up for a video game that is over 20 years old and don’t know anything about it. They dont know any history, such as well documented skulldaggery, they don’t know that this is a pvp oriented game, they don’t know that it has been studied as a wartime economy, they don’t know anything at all about markets or economy, they don’t know any lore. They choose to sign up but don’t know what they are signing up for, which is also their own choice. Then they want everything to change to fit their desire for the sims in space.
I’m Aiko the Danuja!!!
When Aiko posts on forums, one hauler dies to ganking. Just think about it.
Appears to have been removed (or forgotten by CCP during a launcher upgrade?) quite some years ago if I see this old thread: No more biomass sound effect? :-(
I think one fun fact that a lot of folks tend to overlook is that capsuleers are in a pod of jelly controlling everything with their minds. I dont recall if aura helps with that. But if you think about it, our characters are closer to robots than humans. feels similar to rogue drones, except we get to buy space ships, and apparently vote in empire politics.
That’s only true for lowgrades. The newest clone technology (if you can afford it) allows for wireless integration. No goo, no pod - just you and your ship.
But if there’s no pod what happens when your ship explodes?
I have an escape pod, of course, but it’s not needed for ship control.
There is no goo.
When CONCORD strikes, ship crew dies.
When any ship is blown up there are crew casualties. Ship insurance pays their families large sums for their sacrifices to our enjoyment.
Capsuleers aren’t eligible for vote, even if they were Gallente citizens. We apparently resign our citizenships when we become empyreans. What we’re doing in-game right now is aiding the presidential campaigns, not actually voting.
It all strikes me as a silly excuse to explain why non-Gallente are participating in the event, I certainly can’t recall this ever having been mentioned before this event, but it is what it is.
When capsuleer is killed out of pod the death is permanent.
