I have spent time in a ganking fleet, and I plan to do more when the opportunity comes along. I enjoy the company of the people, the shiny killmails and the laughs that come along with it which include the hilariously salty over reaction to losing ships.
I enjoyed it that much I invested isk and time to supporting it further.
So do you consider me pathetic and spiteful for contributing to these fleets?
I have spent enough time playing to understand and accept the hazards that come along with the game and streaming, many other streamers have done the same and as a result they have earned the respect of the community (hopefully I have also) and as a result I have never been streamsniped.
So again I cant really wrap my head around why you are so resentful towards this.
I watched Hateless on Talking In Stations, and for me the issue is that he poses issues for which even he himself admits he has no ideal solution. His idea that some ships should be ungankable is just silly and would ruin any sense of hierarchical immersiveness. Same with his idea of having ships go round with ’ Hey, everyone…I’m carrying 2.4bn ISK worth of stuff ! Come gank me ’ in bright flashy colours.
My stance has always been that if the solution to a problem is worse than the original problem, which practically every attempt to ‘fix’ ganking is, then maybe the status quo really is the best of all worlds.
You will never get an ideal Eve. It will always be ‘unfair’ for one group or another. But surely that is precisely what makes it the chaotic universe we all enjoy. And nobody in Eve is forced to be the underdog…everyone has precisely the same opportunity to be predator or prey.
No you seen to play the ganker as should be done, I do the very same to ganker types, it’s when we go to far with these actions. And the going to far has been well documented on some blogs and streams.
All streamees have been ganked, Aceface has many times HateLess has too, proper ganks not endless bumping.
I hope I’ll see you around in your gank fleet, will you be giving out salt if we kill you before concord shows, need to give our troops some laughs
Streaming Eve Online is a way of trying to generate an interest in the playstyle of New Eden and should be treated differently than streaming anyother game as we all know that Eve Online is a different game than most games and that means.
Eve Online requires a different mindset to be at peace with fellow Capsuleers even though many pilots fight each other in space or agree / disagree on the forums as it is just a game. A game where entertainment is found via the Capsuleers (we/us/me & you…) interact with each other inside the same New Eden sandbox.
Capsuleers who take things to a very personal level to cause them to make threats irl should never play this game or any game to that matter.
Learn to win aswell learn to lose is a huge part of the learning curve of Eve Online
(type; eve online learning curve) why do you think the grapth looks the way it does?)
Just stop and understand… (those that don’t yet understand that point)
Stream sniping means to twitch
“Any activity, such as cheating, hacking, botting, or tampering, that gives the account owner an unfair advantage in an online multiplayer game, is prohibited”
None of that is happening so just stop thinking it does.
while stream sniping is against the rules of twitch, i see no issue with that rule going out the window when it comes to eve.
if you are going to stream, you should accept the consequences that comes with it, and not cry like a ■■■■■ when something happens that you don’t like.
That’s what I am saying since this cat ears talk started, cat ears are ok, but give me vampire teeth… I can even imagine my avatar!
Black sunglasses and vampire teeth are not cheesy for me, it’s just right!
edit: What’s the name of that girl in the TiS? Rahen? Something like that, she found the idea of vampire teeth cheesy!!! She mocked my idea, I can clearly see we are not mindlike at all
